Did a little digging myself and yes Nelson was sacked last night a few players on the board wanted him gone i believe, i have a feeling FGH may know more about it.
Very strange given he was reappointed about a month ago. Wnoder if they will honour his contract?????
A couple of imports have now walked, i see a return to the dim dark days for the bombers just when they were showing alot of improvement.
I also hear the president is not happy and will quit over this issue.
Very messy situation the club has got itself into, hope they have a clear plan to get themselves out of it.

Days, if this is true please clarify why you believe that the club will return to the dim dark days? The club would not have made this decision without substantial reason. If sacking a coach meant losing players of significance why would they?

Is Bill Fuller going to follow him out the exit door? Has the money dried up at Hamley?

I heard this last night as well. The story I got told was that the club re appointed him for 2 seasons a month ago but the players weren't happy. There was a petition sent to the committee signed by the players to the effect that if he coaches they wont play. Not sure how true this is, it did come third hand.

Having said that Nelson was at the footy yesterday goal umpiring as a volunteer for the Hamley Club. If this happened on Friday night this would have been tough for him to rock up to, and does show the character of the guy. I've never spoken to him but huge kudos to him for doing this!

What a cracking day yesterday, we were treated with 4 pretty good games of footy and all of them were in the balance at 3/4 time. The A and B grade games were crackers to watch and the crowd really got into it which is what good country footy finals are all about. Good luck to teams playing this week for sure, and lets hope the games stay close like they did yesterday.

Well done to the medal winners last night all well deserved. Especially well done to young Daniel, he rang me last night to say that he'd won and I was absolutely stoked for him. :D

Not yet. I checked my emails this morning hoping they'd be there so I could have a peek. May not get them this year but if I do will let you know. Or if anyone else gets them first, would love to have a copy. :)

There on the sporting pulse website MC. I must laugh at this. We got rolled by balak by 12-15 goals near the end of the year and yet we had some1 poll 2 and 1 vote respectively :?

Can confirm the petition/survey was a factor here.
A number of the senior group not happy at all with his reappointment, so much so it inspired a few to rock up to a club meeting to air their thoughts.
I don't know when the decision was made etc but the club, IMO, has to act in the best interests of the majority of the playing group, I think about 80 per cent signed the petition/survey, what ever it was.
Lockwood and Caterall now gone from the Bombers, who I was told probably would have stayed had Nelson not been reappointed.
Not sinking the boot in here at all, just clearing the air.

Yeah I heard the prez isn't too happy with whats happened and will probably pull the pin, and possible others, bit disappointing to see the club in this situation as there probably aren't too many who would stick their hands up to fill the positions if they do hang the aprons up.

There's no such thing as a bloodless coup norm, do you see this negatively affecting the club? Obviously the players will be happy, what about the rest of the club?

Is there someone waiting in the wings to take the reins from Nelson?
