I agree Swamp. But at some point it gets to a stage where the club needs to listen to them. Especially when there were so many and especially when they were the types that usually have nothing to say.

Fair call FGH, I hope it pans out well.

Dual Mail Medalist, three-time club B&F, 1 x Club Runner up B&F, Premiership Captain, 3 time Premiership player, BOG in a winning GF and an A1 Amatuer flag for ROCS. Fair resume and he's still he's only 27 or 28. Has been a handy aquisition for Mallala..... will be up there again in the clubs B&F one would assume. Would be nice to see Joel Mont win a medal one day, I think he's been runner up twice now, it doesn't seem right that he doesn't have one to his name yet, I'm sure he'll win one or two in the next few years if he can stay fit.

I felt for blokes like Moody and Mills, how they earned just 5 and 4 votes respectively is bewildering.

That really is bewildering for both of those players.

Would a situation like what happened with Nelson have arised under the old Locals/Imports rule?

Previously a club like Hamley could have looked to replace disgruntled players with as many from within their recruiting area as were available plus a certain amount of imports. If the committee believed in him as a coach they could have drawn a line in the sand and worked their rears off to replace the players that were leaving. As it is now, they are only allowed to bring in a certain amount of players no matter where they live right? surely that means that the committee needs to take a bit more notice of what the current players at a club want...

Still I dont know the ins and outs of this situation at all. He could be the best or worst coach in the world for all i know....

Hamley get more points each year than Kobe Bryant, probably not an issue :D

Perhaps there should have been a little more consultation with the playing group before he was reappointed, this situation couldve been avoided.

If Hamley reappointed nelson for 2 years Im guessing thats a contract. Do they have to pay Nelson out for the remaining 2 years if he doesnt get another contract elsewhere?

Paul and Matt Stelzer went to play a year at somewhere in the Riverland and I thought that was for family reasosn. From memory their back to back flag teams were pretty much all O'Connor imports and a few of them did leave but I couldnt tell you why...

I actually thought Barossa got rid of him because they got Roger James...

Having your players revolt against your coach is pretty big plus getting a petition plus walking on a committee meeting. You dont hear about that often so your going to have to deal with it until people get bored of it.
