Jabber - well done to PFC mate. There must have been a lot of stress placed on all with Prelim losses over the stretch. Then the coach saga this year - and through to a GF and Div 4. Football Clubs are amazing - they will always drive you to despair but at some stage they will make it all worthwhile!! Good luck this week.

The monkey is off the back now hopefully. The boys have reached my personal pass mark, of course the players/officials/club have a higher benchmark than i do, and that will be to bring home a flag this week.

Strange old year, be interesting what kind of start to the year we would have had if S Sinclair were at the helm, and conversely what kind of end to the year we'd have had if J Calderbank were still in charge?! All hypotheticals anyway and now is not important. But i think it does go to show that even through adversity a strong club should still be standing at the end of it all.

Good luck to both sides this weekend, but slightly less luck to Salisbury West would be nice. I was 10 the last time plympton was in a GF, i took 4 garbage bags full of shredded phone books and news papers to Richmond Oval which took me all week to shred, and left countless family members without a phone book for the rest of the year (no whitepages.com.au back then!)

The lace up needs a few additional red and black panels attached to it before it becomes wearable!

All the best to Salisbury West and Plympton in the A grade GF. Should be a cracking game.
Also to Adelaide Lutheran and Woodville South in the B grade.

Plympton have to give credit to the coach (Shane Sinclair) for a brilliant job bringing the lads back from the brink of a disaster season to now a successful one, and hope they try to re-appoint him for next year.

Not having seen Sailsbury West I'm interested in seeing the match-ups across the ground, and where the game will be won or lost.

It's 4 different clubs involved though so does it really matter?
