Once the A grade coaching position was finalised I was told I would need to be reinterviewed for the b grade job along with 2 others that had showed interest in the position. The club made their decision from there.

Had you been spoken to about next season before the A grade coach was re appointed. To me and i may be wrong but sounds like once the A grade coach was reappointed, things may have changed with your job. All i hear is how loyal you are to the club and how the players love playing under you and like you said, making finals and achieving things the B grade haven't in the past then not be reappointed is crap. I hope that Eastern Park Mark 2 realize the bed they are making.

Not quite sure what club i am from has anything to do with it, i watch a lot of footy and was just asking a question on what i had been told. If my informer is wrong i will take it all back. I just asked about weather or not the B grade coach had been moved on.

Seriously this does not need to be made into anything more than it already is and that quite simply is that the BLFC felt they needed to make a change to move forward.
Unfortunately for me they saw an oppotunity to improve threw appointing a new B grade coach.
Am I disappointed? Yes. Do I hold any bad blood towards the club? No. I wish them all the best for the clubs 50th year next season.

Now if anybody knows any clubs looking for a new coach let me know

Sorry to hear you havn't been re appointed next year Bigshow. Have enjoyed coaching against you the past 2 seasons and thought you represented BL in a very proffesional manner. All the best for the future.

Just wanting to make something clear, Although the new b grade coach that has been appointed is a friend of careys does not make it a factor in why the committee chose to appoint him. All 3 people that applied for the job were all mates of payneys and I have been told he was torn up inside about the fact he would leave 2 of them dissappointed.

This was 100% a decision made by the members on the committee and not by anyone else.

Mate, I think it matters not what the general public think, I'm sure the BLFC would of taken all aspects into consideration and worked out what's best for the BLFC. Coaching selections never require justification to anyone else as it isn't their business.
Unfortunately from what I've seen over they years, one of the first questions asked in an interview is "what and who can you bring to our club", this line alone tends to pretty much make it that much harder to hire someone internally, the prospect of gaining 6 to 10 players lightens up the eyes of those doing the interviews.
It's human nature, sliding doors even, you can't get yourself down over not getting a gig, there's no place for loyalty anymore, even in amateur comps as one bad season can lead to another and before you know it you are where Smithfield were 8 months ago.
Football is business and it's an industry that requires people and success to attract more people and more success.
Good Luck Bigshow in getting a gig elsewhere, from those who I've spoken to hold you in high regard, you took a struggling side to the finals in your first season and that's a fair achievement within itself.
