Unfortunately for me they saw an oppotunity to improve through appointing a new B grade coach.
Am I disappointed? Yes. Do I hold any bad blood towards the club? No. I wish them all the best for the clubs 50th year next season.

Now if anybody knows any clubs looking for a new coach let me know

Sorry to hear you havn't been re appointed next year Bigshow. Have enjoyed coaching against you the past 2 seasons and thought you represented BL in a very proffesional manner. All the best for the future.

good luck to both teams this week in the gf, for wats its worth here is my spill, plympton were one of the best teams we played this year there run and carry and spread from the backhalf was outstanding and they always seem to hit there forward targets consistently. Get the ball into there dangerous forward line quick enough and i fill they will catch sw off gaurd at times. I guess another key factor is how there superstar j.smith contributes imo the best thing about smith is if he doesnt mark the ball he normally wins it on the ground himself and is very clever around goals, who will stand up to help him is the big question. i dont think either side has a dominant ruckman the on ballers become even more critical to be able to read the play from a 50/50 contest.
In the middle were its most critical i think sw have more power and the smarter on ballers to win that position woodrow has been the best on baller in the comp he is hard, aggresive but also very smart he will give to a player and then do the follow up stuff like protect his team mates he will be one player that will put his body on the line. steele is another dominant player deserved his medal but these are the medals you really wont hanging around your neck he will get his fair share of the footy but doesnt always execute all that well but his willingness to get the ball and run and carry will be a thing that may catch the plympton boys off gaurd.
i think the fact the westies boys have had a wk off and are fresher will go along way in deciding this game specially late in the last quater, i would like the red dogs get ova the line but i cant see this being the case westies by 4 goals. best of luck both teams and congrats on playing in a grand final and deserved promotion next year.

Nice work Robran

I think Westies could be taken off their game easier than plympton, just my thoughts.

Maybe somewhere where the red dogs could try get an advantage

Plympton might have to give Payneham NU and ring and see what they did to stir them up in 2005...worked a treat

I picked Westies at the start of the year & i still believe they'll win this game by around 3-4 goals.
Plympton are worthy opponents & will take it right up to SW, Westies would want to be on their game as Plympton have nothing to lose. As Jabber says their happy just to be promoted.

Allan Harvey from Eastern Park is the new B Grade Coach at Brahma.
Mates with Carey Payne and will play in the A Grade.
Just wanting to make something clear, Although the new b grade coach that has been appointed is a friend of careys does not make it a factor in why the committee chose to appoint him. All 3 people that applied for the job were all mates of payneys and I have been told he was torn up inside about the fact he would leave 2 of them dissappointed.

This was 100% a decision made by the members on the committee and not by anyone else.
Its a way of getting another "a" grade player and 3 points as well.

No mate, jabber alone is content with being promoted, the team's plan has never been anything but the flag.

And by the way, what was Shane Stokes' comments through a certain media outlet last week or so (FC you may be able to help me out here), something along the lines of "I guess from a Club point of view the most important thing is that we're moving back up into Division 4".

At a guess I'd be saying that the club is happy to get back into div.4.

No, he's saying that it was the most important thing.

The same thing that I said about plympton but got shot down in flames.

Are you leading this revolt Steve? Wouldn't be the first time you have done it. Have heard the players are a bit sick and tired of the President puting his 2 cents in to on field decisions and want him gone.
They are straight to their word, they don't talk a lot of smoke and mirrors behind windows.

The club allowed him to put forward an application, on the A grade side of things the coach was re-appointed with a revised offer from previous years. Be it more or less it should not concern others as this is information for himself and those who appointed him.
I myself am saddened to see the B grade coach not be re-appointed, as he is a great club person and one of the most loyal people I have met, however he does have a job that he wants to do and I personally wish him the best in his pursuit of gaining a position where needed as he will make any club he goes to a better place for just having him around, as he has done to ours.

Cheers Groover. I will definitely miss being around the club. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club and have made some very good mates. I wish the club all the best.

Sorry to hear you didnt get re-appointed mate, you are a great guy who is easy to get along with and a coach i really enjoyed playing under, all the best in what ever you do in the future mate, any club would be better off having you involved in some way.
