Any truth the b-train is being heavily chased for the main job at the Redlegs Drifter?

Hey Mohammad,
any idea on how the B and F went on Friday night. Has a new coach been announced ?

Sorry about the late response Drifter. No word yet on the coaching front but im lead to believe a number of candidates are being sounded out.
Schuby won the B&F ahead of Leske. Any other B&F's announced from other clubs yet?
Should be a ripper of a day at Angaston on Saturday, can think of a better place to host the big dance on a sunny September day. Will provide a great atmoshere, hope the footy will be as good.

Gawker Centrals have approached Steve Oconnor for the 2012 season, not sure if they would have the budget or a wide enough door to fit his ego thru :D

Wasn't O'Connor given his marching orders from the GSFL club. So he would be a free agent. Already coached Willaston and Barossa in BL&G.

It would be interesting to see how he would go at a club that’s already successful and have hardly any points to play with.
He’s worth his money when he can bring an influx of quality players in i.e. Willaston & Barossa
The point system won’t allow him to do that.
Could this be the reuniting of the old team Occa/Sponge

If this is the case it is a statement by Gawler Central looking to secure the best available and O'Connor knows the BLG like the back of his hand and what it would take to get the club past the Preliminary.
As for a successful club Brook, i would say success is measured by premiership flags please correct me if im wrong?

O'Connor could only bring two players to Willaston due to the import rule in Jones and Johncock but quality they were.

Why is it that the BLG is the only Country footy league that has this following quotation in regards to the Player Points System? - The Directors have the discretionary power to vary a club’s allocation. (Rule 7.7 of Constitution) ??

How is it that a team that finishes bottom (South Gawler) receives the same points in 2012 as Willaston who are in the Grand Final?
Or for example Tanunda are allowed 3 points in 2012 (they have had something like two losses in three seasons) and Gawler Central are allowed 6 points, does one player make the difference between Tanunda and Gawler Central??

This points system needs to be looked at and tinkered with.

Didnt the Adelaide Plains give every club an extra point last year because one club was found to be over their limit?

They can definitely thank Nobby for that...

Love the way he refers to Baker a few years back when he won his first medal, as like a son to him. And this year says the same about Sammy Walton. Totally non bias Prez we have here in the BLG

I seriously doubt the other directors would be voting up any favours to willaston or that nobby would risk his integrity even trying.

The president gets about 5c an hour for their work, if they can't enjoy the game and support their teams after taking on the job then whats the point, its not a profession and the league is in fine shape because of Nobbys work.

Stick your head back in the sand twit.

Totally agree with you Pinchy, Nobby is a great bloke who would not and does not favour any side, he does a thankless job that none of his knockers would or could do.

Good luck today Pinchy, obviously I'm hoping that I will be luckier, just about to leave to see what should be a very well presented ground and some great footy.

Listened to the BL&G GF today on ABC radio, well done to Tanunda on another Premiership.

Can't believe they kicked 30 behinds, were conditions that tricky?

And Ben Britton just about 'loves' everyone up there, well done !!!

Good to see Willaston go down. The only thing that I am unhappy about is the Tanunda kick so bad. It would of been great to see them win by 30 goals.

Anyway Willaston enjoy the rebuild, A blind man can see that players will walk and the club will look for a new coach because the players will be asking for him to go.

Well done to all premiers yesterday, in the big game, I would think Willaston would be happy that the blockies struggled to convert in the wind but credit where it is due, Willastons backmen did a sterling job but weight of numbers coming down really overwhelmed them adventually. 41 scoring shots to 11 pretty well tells the story.

Special mention to Ango, bloody good job with the ground and the catering, never struggled to get a cold frothy and the steak sangers where great, good job.

Greeny at this stage looks as though he is going to play on at Freeling which is great for the league, silly season is away.

Sick to death of the bagging the Willaston Football Club gets on this forum. Just no end to it. For a club that went from wooden spoon to runner up deserves a bit more respect then what it gets. Nobby symes does a terrific job as president, and just because on a couple of medal nights he shows a bit of passion towards to great players, he gets criticised.

Any side that had of played against Tanunda yesterday would have been dealt the same cards as what willaston had to deal with. Tanunda are an excellent football side and one of the best that ive ever seen, hats off to them and well done for saturdays result in both senior grades.

As Juan Antonio would have said, it was the best Grand Final ever.
The home of BL&G football put on for all 6,700 fans to enjoy.
Word coming from the Barossa and Central camps, they will host the next two GF's from Lyndoch and Gawler Central ovals.
Congratulations to the metwurst junkies, now pressing Angaston 1930's and Nuri 1990's for the title of champion teams.
Word also has it, Swooper still hasn't returned home from Saturday night with Ants!

I read with interest in todays paper that Central and Kapunda have advertised.
Has the trigger been pulled on Wacka?
I think Kapunda forgot to add a footnote "if genuinely intersted in applying, you need not apply" The tree huggers have hung people for less. Stop wasting paper.
Hearing there may be some retirements and player movements coming from both camps after yesterdays game?
