Yes. In "The Best of Both Worlds" he said he actually considered playing in 1991, but he thought being so close to 40 was too old to continue.

Mark McKenzie, Justin Cicolella, Andrew Payze, Adam Grocke - the list goes on. McKenzie would have to be my all time favourite though.
