Will that change your thought of lining up at hewitt oval a bit more?

What do you mean by that?

Just confused at what Coromandel side your playing for this year mate. Actually, do you even know?

Pop Quiz everyone:
Q. When do you think it is best to let your club know you are unavailable for the first game?

Is it,
A) First preseason training session
B) About 2-3 weeks prior to first game.
C) A week before selection night, so captains have some idea about who to pick.
D) Last preseason training session, after you have had your bat and you are getting in your car to go home.
E) Saturday morning, saying you told Joe Bloggs you were unavailable, except Joe is from the local nut house & does not even play cricket.
F) Saturday night, by text message to the club barman.
G) Sunday, after having 325 missed calls.
H) The next Thursday training session, then expect to walk into the A grade side
I) After your Granmother in Burra dies. (this one is for Morphy boys only ;) )

I know how you feel Moe.

Last nights selection for us was more about who is available as there were so many people unavailable this week.

Thankfully the association has the first game as a one dayer to make it a bit easier.

Sounds like everyone has the same trouble with selections first few games. I have even heard The Michael Thomas cricket club oh I mean Cove are wheeling a few blokes out in wheel chairs this week but god bless them they still think they are the team to beat this year.Have heard that they refer to strong clubs with C and D grade sides as TARDS .Sorry guys but thats reffered to as A strong club with lots of depth as opposed to door knocking at the local nursing homes and pulling blokes out of retirement. the blokes you Southern cricket heros call tards are the backbone of being a Succesful cricket club in the Adelaide suburban cricket association . I suppose this is something you will learn with time IF you last in our comp

I hope this banter between adelaide bank and deep heat will continue throughout the year.

It will make for a good read.

especially as they are obviously leaving the country to go to a gay wedding. Would've thought they would have known a fair while ago. :D :D
