SW 242 v Smithfield.

Probably fell 30 short of what we would've liked in the end. Lush and slow at the moment is Smithfield Oval.

Not sure of exact scores but - Davies 60, Sewell 49, Trav McIntyre 34...Most got starts.

Stamavich to play a handful of games at Sandy Creek in the invitational X1 along with Bomber and J.Mac to Smithfield on a very good wicket.
Could be total crap but my sources are very close to the guys concerned

Interesting, we've spoken to Jimmy and expressed interest but that was old news, about 10 months old infact. As far as Bomber, there's been no talks at all, we'd love to have him on board though, if you could get the source to pm me so I can see if it's worth having a crack at them.

we should know!! similar events happened on day 1 last season at Parafield mate.... short memory??? LOL... wasnt it something like 19 wickets on day 1? was weird being on a team that batted, bowled... then batted again all in one day of a 2 dayer!!

I think its more the fact the bloke is just happy playing cricket with his brothers and some of his best mates.

He's from a Grade club already...played at TTG. Like a lot of us....probably doesn't have time for clicky groups and ridiculous training schedules.

Good to see Craigmore going well in the A Grade.

Similar to us at EP last year a new coach come in makes a few changes and getting good results so far.

Glad to see Matty Harris going alright, top bloke and good laugh to have a drink with.

I remember one of our sides a year or two ago coming back with a day 1 outright win. Not uncommon to be into the third innings in the lower grades, especially this early in the season. Grade 1 though is a different kettle of fish.

Great to see our really young players have some success on Saturday in Grade 7. Fielding a team of 5 u16s players, 1 female cricketer, 1 player having his very first game of cricket ever, 1 playing his 3rd ever game they bowled Parafield Gardens out for 23. Both youngsters opening the bowling 1 being 14yo and the other only 15yo between them they returned the figures of
5 for 9 and 5 for 10. Well done to all the youngsters playing through the senior grades at C.C.C This week we used 8 u16s players.

60+ wickets last season, well on the way to reaching that again, you be the judge.
