Yes , he was probably 'coked" up to the eye balls too......

Some artists seriously need to stay on the drugs.....Lennon always said he wrote his best music on it.

Agree or disagree???

Was there for this one- agree. Never seen a band so upstaged by a previous act (Killswitch Engage) since Strife opened for the Satanic Surfers!

My worst would be Turbonegro at Loudmouth at the Drive (early 2000s?). They were excruciating, and really didnt fit the rest of the day IMO.

Now watch Snaggletooth come on and lambast me for mentioning this!

A lot of people would agree, plenty of examples. It's funny but for mine Al Jourgensen (Ministry) did his best stuff when he became clean (the anti-George W Bush trilogy of albums, not for the political aspect either) but most Ministry fans think that stuff was shit but I much prefer it over their more commercial stuff (both when Paul Barker was in the band & when Al was a junkie).

Dont care what they are on when they write the stuff, just want em in good nick when I see them live!

Taking Alice in Chains as an example, Layne's vocals on Facelift and Dirt were dominant, but when the self titled album and unplugged album were done he was basically cooked, and Jerry's vocals were more dominant.

My view- early in the drug scene some ripping tunes are made, but if blokes stay on the gear long term they rarely continue to make high quality stuff!

Killswitch Engage were awesome, but i had to sit out of that because i was exhausted from the Story of the Year mosh before them...seriously most intense most id been in up to that point.

That's the way love goes. Did she miss you much, and what have you done for her lately, apart from that escapade? Remember, the best things in life are free.

Think there might be a few people in Melb that can call this their worst concert.

Reakon I saw them there in the late 70s Ian - was it then? Or did they come out since? I can't remember them being off their face at this concert.....

It was in fact, so bad, that some two or three years later when I took the kids to see Coca-Cola Live tour with The Veronicas and Evermore I sat there thinking "At least this isn't as bad as Massive attack".

I loved this concert. The sound was brilliant, but I'm a fan.

At the time GF loved Savage Garden and got tickets. I thought alright free concert I will go. Never again 3/4 of Audience was preteens or under 16 and screaming. They could have played music and swore their heads off and no one would know what they were saying.
