If you want a cheap ticket to a circus just follow burgess around. When he kicks a goal he does somersolts, backflips and dances. Then you hear about his footy career and how many goals he's kicked.

Another one of those "Greatest Players to have never made it. Would have but couldn't get on with the coach." These blokes are often very expensive liabilities for country footy clubs. Very rarely do they earn the big bucks that they command...or demand!

I would....if I knew of him and he had at the very least an SANFL League pedigree. I don't usually go for those that choose to be big fish in little ponds.

Whats the deal with the shorts? Not a fan of yellow?

Not personally. Always great to wear black shorts!

I cant see the problem with two teams having black shorts honestly, they do it in the EPL with white shorts. Wouldn't think it would be hard to distinguish and yellow and red Guernsey for when you and hamely play even with both wearing black shorts[/quote]

Back many, many moons ago when Roseworthy College were in the APFL and I had hair and played at the Pies, we had to wear white shorts whenever we played the "Pink Panthers" instead of our normal black to avoid a clash with our predominately black jumpers.

Personally I love the idea of the away teams wearing white shorts, irrespective of who you are playing. For the record, Hamley and Mallala both have blacks shorts, so I can't understand why United aren't wearing them too.

True. Did the white shorts thing in the Riverland and while it can be a pain in the arse if you forget your white shorts or vice versa, seems to work ok.

the away team wears white shorts in the BLG now too....there are two blue and white teams (South and Ango) and two lots of tigers (Central and Nuri) so it does help.

Interestingly up until a couple of years ago Gawler Central were required to wear white shorts for home and away games Vs Nuri while Nuri were allowed to wear their black shorts all year.

One thing is for sure, the guy that gets the gig will be of the highest quality in terms of country footy coaches.. Mallala still have youth on their side and I can't wait to see a reignited Magpie unit in 2012. :D :D Happy days

Lubcke will be the best thing out there since Jason Earl was born
Is it true that shane gepp did not get the job becaus of bad past experiences at ex clubs?

Dont see how you can foget Onsong. Unless you dont know if your away or home! HAd to do it for three years in the amateur league and actually liked my white shorts more then our home shorts. Do you guys think the league would change it to that?

Yep. Be happy with that. At the end of the day thought shorts don't effect performances so I guess it really doesn't matter. I would prefer to wear black while others in the club like the yellow. If thats the biggest problem with our club then I would take that.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!
