But lets way it up from what I have read on here:

Ins:
Hanson
Flynn
Thach
Young
T. Smith back from injury

Outs:
Lockwood
Caterall
Pepe
Christman
Burgess

Lost the same as they have picked up, overall calibre lost or gained is probably pretty evenly spread across the 5 players. Just my perception.

At this stage Hamley are well ahead.

Won the SAAFL Div 3 medal this year, was runner-up last year after playing the first 3 or 4 games for Salisbury North and was 3rd in 2009.

and why did he leave salis.nth not good enough for the a grade?

He left because he didn't see eye to eye with the A Grade coach Mark Tyler. He might be back at Salisbury north now that Tyler is gone?
Eugene Warrior is the new and Thach has played under Eugene and from all accounts rated him highly while he was at Salisbury north.

I owe you a dollar then mate ;)
I have seen a bit of A3 footy in the last few years and the 3 PH boys Hamley are targeting or have signed are guns. PH have really struggled in recent times and these guys have single handedly won games for them off their own backs
I remember watching a game last year and said to my friend if Thach wasn't playing. PH wouldn't get the ball out the middle, and then when it went forward I said if Flynn wasn't playing PH wouldnt kick goals and the ball would just rebound straight back out. Both made the A3 team of the year again

If this helps. We had two players leave us for seaton after round 3 and they hardly got a touch the. At seaton managed to get in the best regulary. We finished second bottom as well

Any team in APFL would knock off a div 5 or 6 team

Looking forward to seeing these guns in the plains fl. There are some handy backmen and midfielders getting around in the apfl , should make for an interesting watch.

Indeed it will SAM, if they are coming expecting it to be easy, they will quickly be schooled.

I disagree with OnSOng, seen plenty of SAAFL, plenty of APFL, seen plenty of players from so called better standards not make in APFL, I think the APFL is more Div 2 than Div 3. Watched a few Div 3 games this season just gone and nothing in those games excited me too much, one of the sides I watched won the premiership as well. Balaklava would have touched up the Div 3 side without too much problems IMHO.

I havnt seen an APFL game so that is why I asked what the comparison would be to the SAAFL
I don't know if these guys will make an immediate impact or not but if the standard of footy is infact div 3 like onsong said then the guys will do well IMO

These guys won't be taking anything for granted, they are all very serious about their footy and set themselves very high standards, that is why they have achieved so much.

Unless APFL has improved considerably over the past few years, it definitely is not Div 2 SAAFL standard.

Time will tell Jumbo.Normally this time of year alot of hot wind blows in from the junction of the gilbert and light rivers. Certainly Balak on their day are formidable as are virginia and the pies and from what i am hearing the tigers and roosters are working hard to improve their list as well. If the roosters can pick up a good forward and midfeilder to help Ned and get the posession machine allmond fit it could be concern for all.

I am hearing that the Roosters may have recruited a genuine ruckman that has played AFL and retired from SANFL a couple years back. Still been playing country footy and will be more than a handy inclusion. I will reveal all once I know it has been confirmed
