I have heard 3, the 2 mentioned earlier on this thread and one other.. A lot of ardrossan blokes were talking big last year Saying there were spending up this yr and having a crack.

Jarrod Curtis from Jamestown is one of them. Can play

Curto is a quality footballer and will be very handy for Ardrossan, never gets beaten one on one.

Talking to a reliable member there today.
Picked up - Jarrod Curtis of Jamestown. Very solid player moreso in defence.
- Brendan Mckeogh of Reynella. Key strong forward.
- Dot Cotsaris of Aldinga. Solid midfielder.
- Dave Bickmore. Former Glenelg Under 19 Captain but hasn't played for 2 years due to study.

New Coach - Craig Wilson who coached The Pines Div 7 last year. Has been at a number of clubs at different levels and very fitness orientated. Believed to be very money orientated as
well. Likes to receive it.

So with lots of spending comes some losses. 2 Pryor brothers didn't fit into the salary and have gone. 1 or 2 top players looking at having a crack in town and another top one looking at moving nearby for a bit of cash. Another by seasons start might be in a different location for employment and struggle to play some games.
So it could be a case of recruit well, spend a lot of money. But if the losses outweigh the gains, is it all for nothing. Time will tell.

Wasn't dean cutting pose to kick 100 goals easy? This bloke must be better then Cutting

Never read that westy, i did read he'd win the medal though!!
Cutting & McKeough are two different players, McKeough is more of a strong leading, strong one on one player but can play a bit down back, " he hates it down back though" ;)
You'd know alot about Cutting after seeing him dominate your comp last year.
I will say if Ardrossan get a few good mids & have some good running half backs expect to see Milo kick a ton.
You can quote me on that to westy, i was right about Cutting & I'll be right about this one barring injury.

Is Bickmore a certainty or just rumour at this stage?

Lets be honest it wasnt hard picking cutting for the medal. Ive grown up with Dean and we have been mates for well over 10 years. I know he can play. You must really know your footy to pick that one. A gun player in a side that will struggle to beat our B grade will always stick. I am very happy to see him do well.

No idea on that. Wouldn't have a clue what they were on. Must have been asking a bit if they were told that they don't fit or else the club is spending a heap on others.
All I know is they do get a lot of the ball and they would have been there for 3 years so would be 0 points

Is this the guy playing cricket for Moonta? Heard he was playing footy for them as well, that was before his old man got the Bute job though.

Dylan is playing cricket for Moonta. Getting paid a bit of coin as well for the cricket. No doubt Moonta would have been in his ear about playing footy there as well. Will be interesting if he has signed at Moonta and now his dad has got the job at Bute.

I did hear that. Let's just say no official salary cap this year. The Salary cap over the past few seasons was a bit of a laughing stock anyhow. By getting ride of the salary cap this year all it will do is allow clubs to stop playing players behind closed doors. Several blokes were getting paid extra in their wages if employed by someone at a club so then the footy club didn't have to declare the whole amount they were playing the player.
Might get rid of a few hidden envelopes for players.

I know of one prominent country club that beat the salary cap by paying certain players in hay bales, sheep and/or cattle on the hoof and even transactions of several tonnes of super phosphate.
