New coach making way for 'his' men?

Not really I dont think DW, just some have had enough of the travel. They would of loved to have kept Mensforth and James has gone back to the West Coast. Greenwood is signed and Schubert will likely stick with him. Not sure on Buhlmann, Kemp or ORiley.

Heard the South Pres was fuming that Willaston stole a couple of players from under their noses. One was apparantly on the verge of signing before Willaston had a late crack

Can somebody tell me how the Donnies would have the points to recruit their most recent recruits ? Would have to be 12 points so far this off season, and they had pointed guys playing in the ressies during the season gone. Someone must be leaving to fit them all in.

Lethal Dose wrote:Both are good mates and id say be in the best 22 for willaston. Bates is a full back, who can go all right and Savage only played a few games but is ok also, not stand outs but would do alright in divy 5 which is below them i reckon. Willaston might have another new squad for next year by the sounds, few players keen to move on and a few rumoured to be coming in as replacements.

Heard C.McClean maybe back to Gepps cross if dosent go successful at Centrals. Id say Micheal McClean would follow suite.

would have to be on a hell of a lot less than they were at their last stint at GX
Chris is worth it i reckon, when he gets going he is a quality player, but Michael is hopeless, i would pay to get him cleared away from the club
UTP you can add Southern Flinders as another club Harvey has spoken to.
I was chatting to a mate who is a cousin of the coach at Southern Flinders and he said the coach had a very brief conversation with Harvey and offered $500/game to which Harvey replied, you obviously want me to hit the showers at half time if thats all your offering.
Make up your own mind if he is shopping himself to the highest bidder or not.

Word is out of Willaston that Jamie Scott and someone Bates are going, each apparently worth 3pts?
I question their influx of players too.
Baker is leaving, definitely. and Chris McLean will be overseas for next year.
Nuri apparently have been pillaged by new Min-Man coach Shawn Gibson, the names I have heard
from decent authority are Nicholls and Cragg-Sappsford, plus potentially more.
Also, strong rumour has it Billy Wells from tanunda has been bowled over by an Irish girl and may be in the Green isle next year with her.
On the Harvey agenda, if he leaves Ango I would be stunned, I would rate it a 0.00004% chance,
he does love to have his name mentioned though so he may have fuelled this fire himself.
Cant wait for Media Mike Teakle to break all these stories wide open.

Unless your name is Marc Cox, then even after he's signed for the club you never know if he's going to see out more then 3 or 4 games before moving on

Think you will find that Min/Man are only going to be getting about 7 points to play with. And with Kennedy already putting pen to paper he is worth three and Gibson still worth two. Not sure that leaves alot of points to be throwing at the rest of these Nuri players that you mention.

The Angaston AGM was held last night and a few whispers were floating around that the club has been able to secure the services of another big man. I believe Andrew Johnston was his name and he has come across from Western Australia but not entirely sure whereabouts in WA he is from.

You'll find that Benny Gordon is a relation to a player at willaston and his uncle is involved with the reserves. So no matter what south had to offer he was always destined for the Donnies, and the fact his mate McDonald wiould follow ben wherever also. Great pick up to, can kick bags week in week out. Things are looking rosey down at willaston, may have lost a few, but have gained better replacements id say in key position players, which they lacked last season.

This is all over the Magpie and Stump hotel so probably correct. It would be good to get a MinMn official on here to explain their points situation

I think you're wrong mate. ;)
From Appendix 4 in the CFL Rules and regulations:
3.2 For the purposes of a Player Points Rating a playing coach is classified as a player.

Not sure. I think it might have something to do with clearances between clubs. By-Law of the APFL or something that players switching between clubs can't be refused if they are a playing coach.

If that is the case, Gibbo will be sure to get more than a 3 month ban from the Vine Inn.
Would also assume Salts will strike a mark through the name of S Gibson on his christmas card list. Unlikely to be true.
