Survivor: Season 22- Redemption Island *WITH SPOILERS*

Post by zipzap »

Ha ha, now those of us watching this so-far brilliant season of Survivor have a place we can let loose without fear of spoiling for those who are hoping, probably in vain, that Channel 9 will stop treating its viewers like morons - they can't find room for Survivor on any of their digital channels...pfft!

Anyway, what a season so far. Obviously Rob and Russell have been the biggest story. A bit sad really but both are so watchable that it's a no brainer they were asked back. Rob seems like he has got all his tribe under his spell. Russell was ostracised from day one and to see him in tears was truly amazing! Still got his own back (a little) with redneck Ralph only too quick to show his idol off...

But secret agent Phillip...words fail. What a nut job! Those pink undies with bits hanging out, the crab hunting, the inability to keep any kind of secret, the total lack of awareness of anyone around him..I'm guessing the producers will have him signed up already for Survivor 24: Sane vs Insane.

The whole Duel thing is a bit of a crock really. Was hoping they'd beat each other with clubs after being tarred and feathered but so far it's been puzzles and dominoes. Bit weak though I'm liking the concept (I think).

Kristina was my pick to win (is anyone else here sad enough to play Survivor Fantasy League? http://www.stevejodiweber.com/jsfl run by the people who do a really good podcast) so I'm sad she got voted out. My tip from here...hmm...probably someone who doesn't deserve it like Natalie or Ashley. Actually I think Sarita might be the dark horse.

Anyway, here's a great interview by Jeff Probst with Russell:

He must've done some serious bad sh*t to feel like he now owes that much to god.

I think Sophie will win from here. Played the smartest game of the lot.

well its gunna get interesting now the tribe have to cut their own

i thought edna put up some really good points as to why she should stay, but if your in the finals and Brandon is alongside you then you should be winning.

going on the preview of next weeks show the redemption challenge could be interesting

By putting up such a good arguement Edna sealed her own fate. Can't have someone that good around to try and sell their sob story to a jury!

would have to be the most religious based season ever.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

You won't get on the show these days unless your a God botherer or very tolerant to those who are obsessed by the big man. I think it was mentioned on a previous Survivor thread that Jeff is very religious and that's why sooo much of it makes it through the edit Amen ;)

Well Sophie won beating out Coach & Albert in the final three. I was hoping Ozzie got up but no cigar after coming so close.

Yet another excellent series of Survivor.

yeah i thought i wouldnt post anything until the show had aired on channel 9

quite amusing that Albert - i played the best game of the remaining 3 got 0 votes

sophie got 6 of the 9 votes.

just thinking the way Coach played was no different to boston rob - promise everyone you will take them to the end except boston rob won and coach didnt!!

that family with Russel and Brandon must have some serious issues if they cant get over how he played the game and I loved the interview with Russel, Jeff didnt give him the time to keep on dribbling - although Russel did manage to squeeze in how he changed the game and bought greatnesss to it or something.

i think most people watching were hoping that Ozzy could get into the final 3, his effort out there on redemption island was quite phenomenal

Ozzie was great but enough already with Survivor creating characters then shoving them down our throat. It would be nice to see all new players in the next one. It Also looks like the producers have created a new dynamic to facilitate the tribes bring a lot more confrontational =D> =D> :finga: :finga:

Survivor: Cost Cutting

Yup, the cost cutting is getting a little obvious these days.
Using the same locations, cutting back from reward and immunity challenges to just 1 and a duel each week and now not even bothering with separate camps!

I think this one will be ok though, should provide a nice twist to the game and will make the official "merge" an interesting time in the game!
Previous seasons of getting a firm 5 then getting to the merge will change as now you'll have to keep 6 all the way, and in a group of 6, you're far more likely to get splinters.
