On the ABC last night.
Another 'worthy' glorified student fillum telling a 'story that must be told'.
Should be a law against first-time directors casting non-actors.
One thing for veterans like Ken Loach and Mike Leight to do it.
They know what the hell they're doing.

A crap movie in almost every way, the first one was better though didn't warrant the hype.

Great Expectations. I read the book so saw the fillum (the one with Robert De Niro in it) and it should have been called What Expectations or Great **** All because Dickens wouldn't have recognised the tale.

A few nights ago I found on tv - Can't Stop The Music - Village People movie. I remember seeing this as a teenager back in the late 70s and hating it then - 35+ years later and it was still a shocker except for a two second scene of Valerie Perrine in a pool with the Village People - the lads clearly didn't know where to look!

Should've just made Lethal Weapon: The Sitcom instead.
Reboot/reimagining/remake shouldn't be too far off.
With Little Riggs and Butters-Murtaugh continuing the proud family tradition of wearing the shield.
And cameos by Mel and Danny as Grandpa Riggs and Grandpa Murtaugh...
