Yeh, but ya read about rumours like this every pre-season. We always hear about how unelievably fantastically unbelievably good a side is going to be and it all turns to dust come the season.

Think you will find that one of those definites from Ramblers is the coach himself. His best mate who plays FF would be the other one I suspect......

Vines can still get it done too, but if i were a big unit like him i'd be dishing out some pain on a more regular occurance than he does.

Quality pick-ups, big loss for Ramblers, big gains for Pulteney. Sykes was Ramblers best utility last year IMO and Girardi is a quality full forward, been Ramblers leading goalkicker for the past 5 years or something, 2 of those in premeriship teams, not to mention RMFL leading goal kicker. There should be some happy Pulteney fans out there.

There is some serious talk here. Girardi, Sykes. Jackson and Viney would fill any A1 team. If the rumours are right then they just need someone to win the sherrin cos they are all receivers, seen it with my own eyes. So who feeds them, Div 4 players?????????? This is big news and makes Pulteney very very strong they have obviously found a good cheque book.

$$$$ you'll find has nothing to do with it! Viney has a 1 year old and wasnt going to play in MB anymore.
Girardi and sykes are his best mates and have done the country thing for ever and both have lives that don't need country footy anymore.
I'm not saying their not getting paid but it won't be anything huge.

Really? Have you played footy with or against these guys? Vines can def win his own footy and Sykes def wins his own contested footy. He was one of the only guys in the RMFL last year that held his own and even won some contests against Nick Wark, and Warky was killing it in 2011 at Tailem Bend. Jacko and Girardi are quality KPP's. They are fit, hard workers and will test the fitness of most defenders with the way they play.

I think the hype around country football is ridiculous. For too many years people have had the perception that country football is that much better because of the ridiculous amount of money they through around to imports. I have been lucky enough to have the time to go watch some country footy of the last couple of seasons and I can tell you that I have never seen a side that I would rank highly around the div 3/4 Adelaide mark. Just sayin

But in regards to Wrighty and Bear. If Bear can get his body right and get back to his best form, he should stand out. He is a very strong KPP and his best football was played at CHB imo. Wrighty(Enright) is really something special. Whilst he is generally regarded as a ruckmen, he is also a dominant CHB and very destructive forward. On 1 occasion(vs Pultney) in particular last season he played down back for 3 quarters and was moved forward for the last when the Dragons were down. He went on to kick 4 or 5 and won us the game. He'll be one to watch. ;)

Depends which country league and team you are watching. Definately some more than handy footballers running around in places.

I don't doubt that at all but over the years it seems people are more reguraly dropping the 'c' word followed by football in regards to how fantastic it is out there.
