The ladder could look very different by tmrw morning especially if we pick up an outright which we will push for. Will be tough though against a good Keswick batting line up which got torn apart from an incredible Lourens spell last Saturday evening. The western youth boys may be a bit nervous if they don't get up today with a few of.their lads of on holiday soon. Tipping a thrilling last couple of rounds. Good luck all!!

Its great that at this stage in the season from second down no spot is really secure, and from 2 down is anybody's guess really, a few bad sessions could cost some clubs, and just the same a few good sessions could really be quite beneficial to some clubs finals chances.

From top down mate I reckon as we aren't guaranteed finals yet

great win from pfcc today... really dominated proceedings.... had morphies 4/110 and bowled them oiut for 130... great effort from the boys. giersch bowled really well, even with a hat on...

OK, ive waited 7 days to post this, but we quite frankly one of the worst umpires ive ever seen... never had any control over the game...poor communication between him and the players and most importantly he triggered me when i hit the ball straight into my pads, firstly im not annoyed morphies appealed, i would have done the same, but when everyone on the ground hears it and the umpire doesnt, well you can understand my angst. DISGRACE.. for all the WYC blokes who bagged me for not walking, this is a prime example why i dont... regardles who umpires...

game got heated at one stage, but that was the only problem and one of the morphies blokes didnt wanna shake hands after the game which was pretty ordinary. but i personally really enjoyed the game. some top blokes who play for mpcc... mpcc really put on a great spread.... they put on a great day for the ladies  ....

good days cricket at hewett oval today. we hit 6/145 off 24 and set keswick 230 odd to win from 54 overs. we took 3 early ones and then mcgowran and mackay shut up shop and keswick ended up with 5/70 from 51 overs. brett jorgenson even got a bowl and was called for a dead ball first ball for "borking" the batsman. if anyones seen the bloke bowl its pretty funny.

be interested to see other results? if i can add up any good, plympton will be sitting 4th?

South Road 10/239 defeated Belair 10/238. Cracking game. Good fight back by our bowlers after they were 4/190.

Us going down has strengthened section 1. We were bottom in 2008/09 and then only missed out on the spoon because South Road missed 3 meetings and lost points.
We were going into the next season without half our team from the year before.
South road are doing well and there are no "easy games" in section 1 anymore.
And we all lived happily ever after.
The End
Good story.......Bro?

I would think that Keswick, Belair and the Ramblers are slightly too far back to make a late charge for the finals but an outright win could change that for the both of them.

WYC. If we win this week against the sharks we are guaranteed a finals berth. Lose all 3 and it is possible, however unlikely that we could miss the finals, so there will be no resting up from our boys. We will be playing sides the next two games who will be needing a win to keep their finals shots alive so the next two games are very important as if we lose to either of them, or both, there is a chance we will be seeing each other in the finals.

CORO Gave their quotient a big boost by belting Keswick. I was a little surprised to see them not enforce the follow on from the start of day 2 as it is always harder taking 10 wickets the second time around. Have a big game against Cove this week and i feel as though this one is the one that will make or break their season. Win and they will make it and if they can manage a home final they will be very tough to beat. Lose and they give Cove a sniff of the finals and have a tough ask against Morphy's and the Bays to finish off the season. Playing Cove and Morphy's away from home will be their biggest challenge.

ICC Had a surprising loss on the weekend to the ramblers with 280 on the board. Have WYC and Plymtpon to play in the next two games and with a few sides breathing down their necks they can't afford to lose either. Lose this week and there is a chance they could fall to as low as 7th. The game against Plympton could decide who gets the chance to play finals as their may only be space for one of them.

Plympton Rocketed back into the four with a comprehensive victory over the more fancied Morphy Pk's. Their older heads are contributing and i think this has been the major difference for them this year. Their younger players have no doubt improved but they would have benefited from some match winning performances from some of the older and more experienced players in their side. All of their remaining games are must wins because any of Morphy's, Cove or South Road could go past them with 3 wins from their remaining 3 games. Either way it has been a vastly improved performance by Plympton this season.

South Road South Road might look back and think how glad they are they didn't give that game up against Belair as it could be that result that gets them into the final 4. You need a bit of luck in any season to make the finals and getting up in a close one like that could just be what they need to make the finals this season. As it is for everyone around the mark the next couple of games are very important but it may well be their last round match against Cove that determines whether they make it or not. They didn't have a great game against Cove last year but they have been a very different side since that game and are consistently make runs and their bowling is quite good. Unfortunately for them they are running into a Glenelg side that has found some form and will no doubt be keen to shape the final 4 as they won't be participating in it. They may have some important decisions in the next few games as their quotient just might be what is needed to get sneak into the final 4. Maybe playing out the day is wha they will need to do?

Morphy Pk's Have been the yo-yo side of the comp this year. They don't look as though they have been able to string a few good performances together and the gap between their best and worst seems to be the biggest of those still in contention for the finals. They have the bottom placed Sheidow Pk this week and this is a must win for them, lose this and it is curtains for them for the season, win and they are still in with a shot and they will have the chance to win against Coro who they just might be able trade places with if they win. Finish off their season against Belair at Belair which might mean their is some creative captaincy and some brave declarations if they need to get an outright victory to sneak into the 4.

Cove Put simply they must win all 3 games to have a chance of making the finals and even that may not be enough. Would more than likely need an outright result in one the their remaining games, which there is no doubt they are capable of. As we learnt on the weekend they have a few bowlers who are capable of taking wickets in a hurry. They score quickly enough with the bat to make those results possible. They will need to maintain a high standard of aggressive cricket to give themselves a shot at the 4. Unlike South Road they didn't get lucky in their match this round and the narrow loss to WYC might prove to be their downfall this year.
