WYC B grade were chasing 275 against Keswick today. We needed the win to get us a spot in the 4 but unfortunately fell about 8 runs short. Considering the conditions it was one hell of a good game of cricket. For Keswick CC and Voigt bowled extemely well at the end to get them over the line. On our side the skipper stepped up when needed, unfortunately falling 3 runs short of a ton.

Krutli batted well and stayed very patient for a well deserved 100*. It took him 84 overs to get there so his concentration was great. Pity that we were made to go out and bat for 12 overs at the end of the day really wasn't going to achieve anything and has probably cost one of their players a game or two off.

Can the captain have something to answer for after continually allowing this one player to carry on?

Indeed krutli battered extremely well, very good to be able to concentrate for 80odd overs. Did make the most of his chances.
As for us batting again with 12 overs left in the day was absolutely rediculous. Who could or has bowled out a side inside 12 overs! Do think the umpire needed to take more control of the game as I do reckon their should've been a few 5run penalties issued!
As for your sour puss, hot headed, loud mouth bowler, enjoy having a rest for a few weeks mate, with the time off u have, perhaps use the time to practice pitching the ball up towards the batter.
Olly continued his great form with the ball, ripping his legged and wrong uns' which bamboozled the batters. The future looks bright down at WYC land!!!!
We need to bounce back next game and not just go through the motions.

Bloody gun! Huge effort by him to take 6/57 off 22 overs for a 16 year old as a leggie.

Started with a verbal altercation last week mid pitch during an over, then came out to square leg yesterday and began shooting his mouth off after one of out guys said something. He got his marching orders by the umpire to be replaced as square leg. Then whilst bowling his over bowled a bouncer which was called 'wide' and proceeded to carry on and argue with the umpire. Then bowled one down leg side and carried on again. But then the worst was when he called the umpire a fu@$n retard. The umpire said after the game that he was gonna put him on report.
He wasnt too keen to shake hands after the match either.

What caused the corro collapse? Good bowling or what?
But good to see ANA get up over ramblers!!!!

Final round will be interesting!
Sth road, Morphys', cove, corro, sharks and plympton games will shape the minor spots.
Cove sth road will be a cracker
We play our mates shiedow park
Morphys' v belair
Plympton play ramblers
Sharks v keswick

Keswick lose and shiedow win, then keswick finish bottom.

Any thought to a declaration last week with 10 to 15 overs left considering the position you're in ?

After watching ramblers do that last year to Morphys I doubtmorphys would declare on day 1 batting first.

Always take the runs on the board IMO unless come the last round and you need an outright

Can't comment on that situation as i don't recall it but if i was sitting outside the top 4 with 2 games to go i would be having a little sniff at looking for maximum points. Things may well work out for them but you have to show some initiative.

Ramblers did what to morphy parks? And wyc players are in no position to whine about having to bat for 12 overs after what you guys did to my team this year. Passed our score with plenty of time to bat and kept batting. It doesnt bother me that you kept batting, your decision and well within your rights to do that. But dont go and complain about batting for 12 overs. Percentage is important right now and getting a few extra wickets is helpful. Poor form all you wyc lads.

On another note congrats to the Ana lads. In horrific conditions you bowled super accurate and fielded really well. Stef basso would in my opinion be the most gentlemanly captain in the comp. Rowe for me still the best player also. Good luck to all the teams in the last round (yes even you wyc lads, and yes also Coro). Should be a close fought round and still anyone's flag. My tip still wyc with jake and kingy back soon
