Did not even go to the tribunal even though he was officially reported. The umpire thought it was a fair punishment (since when do the umps and not the tribunal decide what is excessive and what is fair).. Can't believe that has happened.
And to think Mal Condon got 2 matches for calling an umpire a cheat yet McGee gets one match and one suspended. Consistency is obviously not an issue
Bloody weak by Craig lawn and Phil Davis IMO.
Some of us have NFI what has happened here. Can you fill me in here please CK?
From what I hear, the umpire (can't remember his name), not only sent this bloke off while he was at square leg, but also reported him after he was called a retard to his face after he called a wide. Numerous things happened when this bloke was bowling.
Think he also has a suspended sentence in Grade cricket as well....
He played grade cricket? Its a shame he is such a tool because the rest of the South rd boys are decent lads. Hopefully he comes across Robbie Mccard soon and gets his head caved in.

Has played as high a B Grade! But breaks down more often than Mark Cleary and Gary Putland combined
I reckon he used the line "I'll send you to hospital" 4 times to one of our batsman. So he tried and got met with a big fat 6 that landed somewhere in Henley Beach. Typical fast bowler who thinks he bowls 150km/h but really only sends them down at 120.
Going to be a cracker two days of cricket this round. Our bowlers looked good last night so hopefully we take 20 and sneak in. Would love another crack at CK who is rumoured to still be struggling with a bit of Bali belly.
So who is everybody's tip for the hewett Medal? No clear cut favourite this year I wouldn't think.

Darren Marsh is the only bloke that I've seen that can advise the batsman that he'll be unconscious after the next delivery, and actually deliver on his promise!

Alright, give him a spell. He suffers from a bit of white line fever and is a top bloke off the field.
As for the Hewett Medal, I'd think Krutli, May and Farrant are South Rd's best chances.
Plenty of chat about McGee on here. Obviously he was disappointed with his behaviour last week and he has accepted his suspension. He has apologied to the umpire from the weekend and also to our side. He's a young fella with a temper so sometimes it is going to boil over. He is working on this issue and with all the lads at SRCC getting behind him he will get it under control.
Hopefully we can get a win this week vs cove and secure a home final.

Fair enough mate.
Hewett medal i think our two best shots are Richard press and our 16 year old Ollie McDowall

Andrew wright out did himself again today. I thought when WYC batted he was hard but fair. But with 3 out of 4 wickets lost in sheidows innings being LBW and I would say 2 being dubious was not a good end to the day. CK did say Mal should've been BBW and that was from the boundary line!
There's also apparently been a rule change with slow bowlers now being a no ball for a full toss over waist height???

No doubt Mal was not out. Don't actually think that hit his pad at all and was given not out.
The 2nd dubious one you talk about being cookes being given not out?

2 dubious, one for Sheidow, one for us. Not too bad a day for him I didn't think besides the explanation of the no ball stuff when Crichton was bowling.
The two lbws Luders got looked absolutely plum from where I was and even peewee said after 'thinking about it, the ball hit the pad first then the bat". So he was happy with the decision. Think he just got caught in the moment thinking he wasn't out.

Sounds like a good days cricket between South Road and Cove.
Morphy's still a chance for first innings points and even if they miss out on them it looks like the outright is a chance for both sides.
Plympton look to have had a great day which looks to be topped off with a wicket in the only over they had to bowl. Who was the person out?
Our game was a hard fought contest and one Luders over turned the end of the day to our favour. Mal got a stinker of a decision and Cookie is the one who got the decision that made up for Mal's. I don't think there was much doubt about the others that were given.
Should be a good day next week with plenty of capable bats for Sheidow still to come.
