I had my disco about a month ago Binney, thank you for your interest.
Was a good game to watch at Stocky though, great venue for cricket finals.

Extractor, he told me to tell you that he was quite tired Monday morning (& Monday afternoon) - and probably didn't get to 100% until Monday night. Believe it was too much food eaten during the weekend. Hope he behaves himself this weekend and watches his food intake.

Yeah, thanks Norm, dodged a bullet there to be sure.
Luckily now I can head along to gawler to watch the Ango a'5s.
The dog track has a few more decent viewing areas than Sandy.......3 more....for a total of 4.

I do agree that stockwell is a nice place to watch cricket but I don't think u can beat sandy. To be fair I would expect u to say the same things about sandy even if our home ground was Adelaide oval. Sandy is perfect to sit under the veranda or on the west side under the trees or even under the log cabin roof. Or maybe from inside the club rooms with the air con on when it's hot drinking beers. Oh that's right u guys don't have a club rooms.

Sorry Norm that we couldn't supply you a clubrooms when you played us,
I am sure the unavailability of chips within arms reach was devastating for you.
Clubrooms at Ango is run by the football club, and is used in football season, which co-incidentally it is now, thankfully.
Lets just shut the cricket forum now......Bring on the Footy.

And the footy club don't share? bit harsh considering the majority of the cricket side play or played footy there...
Ango and Tanunda are the only two A Grade grounds where you can't grab a beer after or during the game...

Re: Barossa & Light CA 2011/12
Kapunda and Gilbert Valley both sell Beers after the game....Both of those sides also do a good job with afternoon tea.
Ango do arvo tea but Tanunda don't...
Not really having a go as clubs have different constraints about what they can do at their oval. Just thought it was a bit rich that Stewie was having a go about the hospitality at other clubs when Ango isn't exactly leading the pack in the hospitality department...

totally agree, most clubs with are making an effort with afternoon tea which is good, Tanunda and Nuri didnt do it this year for us but Kapunda and Gilbert Valley didnt have beers this year when we went there but have in the past.

Extractor, Ango are in the process of working on some sort of bar facility which will hopefully be up and running the next time GC come up to the picturesque Angaston Oval. We did however have an esky there for the majority of the year selling cheap beers, reckon that it may have been kept in the shed when you boys visited due to the hostility of the match
While I am on it afternoon tea's have been a real treat this year and I will say that the Angaston spread has been well above par. I even went around to benny burgess's house early one morning and saw him preparing some culinary delights. Thought he was Manou for a minute but then realised that the reason I coudn't understand him wasn't that he was talking in french but cause he was actually mumbling...

Think Central in a canter. They been building quite well for a couple of seasons now and should be primed after the disapponitment of last years rain. Seem more likley to have two good games in a row than do the Valley. Sandy easily in A2's and 3's.

could well be extractor, from memory, the beers are awfully cold at sandy creek cc and do slide down ever so nicely. Will the club be holding ladies day v2.0 for the bulls return? rumour has it mullo was very happy with that particular spread.
