Plays and looks like Gary Ablett.

Its going to be along trip back every few weeks for Timmy, I hope he gets fuel money considering he is moving to China in a week or so. Besides the only thing he has in common with Ablett is the lack of hair. I would lean more towards a bald Jason Akamanis.

Hold on to your man boobs norm, just announced on fox sports news....the return of YT23 for the Mallala B grade this week pending the paperwork. Easily worth 100 DT points a game.

The league should've had 3 games in round one and opted for a split round this week or round 3 and had a game on ANZAC day, oh well, they have their traditions I guess.

I've been thinking about this one for a while and I would love to see a game played on ANZAC day midweek. Either a Mallala v United game or a Balaklava v Hummocks as a stand alone A grade clash and play the rest of the grades on a Saturday. Would be an awesome money spinner.

Do many other leagues have a mid-week game?

Does it matter? Thats the point, to be innovative and do something different.

Or the better question (IMHO) - Do any leagues have a mid-week game?

I don't know of any, I am sure someone can fill us in with some facts.

Mallala and Two Wells were discussing the idea a few years ago, but it didn't go anywhere ...

Pretty sure the Riverland did it on a Thursday or Friday a few years back from memory. Drew good crowds. So we would be a follower in that respect.

As long as both Jumbo and MC are happy to be followers and not leaders, that's fine. ;)

It is, there's ANZAC round and there's ANZAC Day, would generate a lot of interest, especially early in the year, playing on the actual day itself has far more signifcance and passion IMO.

Agreed. I think we all would have done it in 2008 or 2009 when it fell on a Saturday.

The Anzac Day game that the medal is awarded in this year is Balaklava vs Mallala.

The league features 1 game with an "Anzac Day" medal, can't remember who it featured last year but it wasn't a Peckers game.
