Ahhh... yes, it was.
I got a match ball - yellow Sherrin.
Laurie Argent (he was the Reserve Field Umpire) got 3!!!
The ball steward forgot to collect the bag of about 7 footys - I assume because SA won (10 pts, I think), so was late coming to collect them.
Argent put his 3 in the fridge in the room!

When the steward finally came to collect them, no-one knew anything!
I recall Argent, being very sheepish @ the time :D
Stephen Trigg & Rob Chapman are SA Football Patriots

For me, Stephen Kernahan's 10 goals in the state game was pretty good, but my old man falling asleep during the last quarter whilst sitting in the crowd was the greater highlight.

Bruce Lindsay getting caught holding the ball in the 84 state game vs WA. JOKE

2004 Prelim. Gavin Wanganeen's goal from the boundary, facing the wrong way. Slotted it. Port into a GF. 2nd best moment in my footy supporting memories.

You'd think Adelaides first AFL game.

Centrals first Premiership.

Kernahan State game mentioned previously.

Keith Thomas' 1984 mark. Good Port Adelaide man he is. ;)

Eddie Hocking punching James Manson in the face? Darryl Poole smacking Steven Rowe in the chops? Evans v Balme? Granger V Cornes?

1991 bloodbath between North and West.

Port v St.Kilda prelim 2004. Forget who you support for a minute, that was an amazing match.

dont know that i could list ten, but thought i would throw out a couple of suggestions. i was going to suggest (as Booney beat me to) the "bloodbath" grand final of 91, but unsure it would make the "top" ten moments, maybe the top of the infamous list though...

and not that i remember the game, but as the list will probably have an AFL slant to it, the first showdown? the build up, and the subsequent win by the "underdogs" might rate a mention.

although no i am thinking of it more, it might not be whole games they are after, calling it the top ten moments may suggest they are looking for individual goals/marks/passeges of play rather than a whole game. in that case i am stumped

Hard to split with the 1992 SA v Vic game, Wayne Carey was awesome, Tony Hall goal etc...

I was with Babsy and Whitey and I just knew he was going to kick that one. We kept kicking it on the full all day. I reckon JC did at least three times from memory ACK. :(

My best memory for footy park will be when they tear the friggin joint down I reckon.

Yes. That was during the 1975 season. I reckon it was in July. I actually wasn't at the footy that day, I was at the Cheltenham races and I heard the boom from there.

Sturt v West Rd 14 1975

Sturt won 13.27 to West 15.10

I was listening to the game on the radio and heard the explosion and the commentators shouting "What was that ?" etc..

A school mate of mine was at the game - sitting on the eastern side of Football Park - I remember him telling me at school the next week that he heard the noise, looked across towards the members stand to see the car roof go up in the air and down again behind the stand.

Never heard the story about the explosion before, although admittedly I was only 3 at the time.

I'm guessing the West Lakes Shopping Mall wouldn't have been built for very long at that stage.

A bloke had a crush on the guy that died in the blasts wife, Thought with him out the picture he would move on in. This bloke and the the guy that planted the bomb went down for murder. Went to high school with the son of the bloke that died and was around his house the day the "brains" behind this operation was released from prison
