Not many tipsters jumped on the ramwagon this week, barring, of course, league leader UNDERthePACK, who again hit the round high score of five points, along with a valiantly battling norm11, who jumped several sports on the leaderboard as a result.
Another surprise was challenger, Nighthawk, forgot to put their tips in and got a donut, along with infinity+1, who posted about a reserves debut but failed to tip! Ack!
Swamp Donkey and twogood4u are scratched from the competition.
Pretty congested in the middle of the table, with the steady improvement of Mythical Creature, taking it week by week. According to trend, he should notch five points in this week's tipping. Might be worth copying!

I think there were 7 first choice A graders who didnt play beacause of work, a music festival and injuries. Then on Saturday we had 2 more go down with injuries who didnt finish the game on the park.
Not making excuses but depth has always been an issue over the past few seasons and without our best 21 available it was always going to be a battle.
Mallala had 4-5 first choice players missing also, but the young fellas and those that replaced them contributed very well. Totally agree that Hamleys lack of depth is hurting them, but I don't think depth can explain the consistent second half fade outs. After showing they are more than capable in the first half of most of their matches so far this year, cumulatively the opposition have scored 43.22 to Hamleys 10.9 in the second halves of their matches. Is it fitness related or motivation in your view Bomber? I am sure they will get back on track sooner rather than later and for the competitions sake I hope it very soon. Was good to see them blood some young colts on Saturday, one of which played a blinder.

I'm not sure what the reason behind the second half fadeouts is to be honest, and those numbers you put up are quite alarming.
It would be easy to point the finger and say fitness is the issue but a lot of the guys playing A's did the whole or majority of the pre season so it may just be a mental thing.
Red recruited players based on positions where Hamley have lacked over the past few seasons but already he is playing guys in different positions due to injuries, and lack of back up options/depth which has already been mentioned.
Apart from Daniel Flynn who will miss the rst of the season, the others will all come back at some stage during the next few weeks and hopefully we can put our best 21 on the park all fit and raring to go and get a 4 quarter effort out of the team. I have no doubt the best 21 at Hamley will get a fair few wins on the board but once the injuries add up the depth really gets tested.

Is Philip Saunders an older aboriginal player. If it is the bloke I am thinking of he played league footy at South Adelaide (long time ago) and pretty sure he came out for a few trainings at Hamley 6 or so years ago but never ended up playing.

Well if that rule comes in, I for one would be tellling the lad/lads NOT to wear the armband. May as well put a target on them!
What a stupid idea, who has come up with this classic? Same numnut that brought in the mercy rule for underage I expect.
I suppose we haven't had a ridiculous rule for a few seasons - suppose it's due
