A lot of teams have minis, filling in for juniors and juniors filling in for seniors etc. There is a fair size difference between a 10 year old mini colts player and a 13/14 year old junior colts player and then to a 17 year old lad on the cusp of A Grade. It wouldn't be hard for coaches of junior and senior colts sides just to let their bigger kids know that if they see a red arm band not to heavily dump the player.
Jumbo, don't you know we don't have a mercy rule any more? It is now called the "Fair Play Rule" but works exactly the same.![]()
Having seen the "mercy / fair play rule" pretty closely over the last 2 years I am still against it in both grades, and so are the kids, but why take their thoughts into consideration!

I think everyone on here knows my opinions on mercy rules, not matter how they're badged and marketed they still mess with the fabric of the game.

Great work today by the boys. That third quarter was sensational.
After a pretty disappointing second quarter the boys switched on after halftime and got the win.
Very good to see Nathan Flynn play well today kicking 6 goals, after a few lean weeks he was probably best afield. The midfielders in Taylor Apples and Thach were also very good today and kept driving the ball forward and giving the forwards first use. Great team effort bombers.
