Imagine the wowsers here if they tried to do the same sort of race in Adelaide...

A mate of mine just got back from that about 3 weeks ago. Said the people on the Isle are the most hospitable he has ever encountered. Spent 4 nights in a familys farm house after they asked him where he was staying.

He told them the hotel name and price, they told him that he was getting ripped off and took him to their place. Husband and wife with 2 little kids and wouldn't take a cent off of him.

Loved it.

And I agree, no chance of anything like that happening here....
