I don't think they know much at all. I guess to be able to cure it you need to know what causes it and that's something they don't know.
But I do agree, they might as well say everything causes cancer.

There are two main groups of things that we know tend to cause cancer - some virus particles, and some chemical irritants.
Any chemical with a benzene ring in it has to be suspect including the parabenzene compounds in sunscreens.
But any cause of ongoing tissue irritation is a risk - which is how alcohol makes the list.

Toluene (Methyl Benzene) was pulled off the market as a fuel additive in the 1970 because of the rise in bladder cancer correlating with it use.
(Not just because kids could use it to make TNT at home, like one of my classmates did in the 1960s.)

Did you mean $11,000 or $1,100? We are costing a full guts out ( new floor, ceiling, walls ) bathroom reno and we are at about $12,000.
