When were the suspensions issued? Perhaps if Hamley were given adequate notice (assuming they weren’t) they may have been able to appeal the decision through another method?
E.g. If someone is reported on a Saturday they have the opportunity to take the prescribed ban or plead their case to the tribunal during the week.

Yes, huge, they would've been pretty happy getting Johnston back, fair kick in the nuts to just break even.

hardly breaking even, Howell is a jet, as good as they come.

calebs a gun player, and is in the top two players of the league. as for comparing, one is in his prime and should be playing league this year. the other one is coming to the end of his career but still has something to offer.

McEvoy from Mallala has a pending clearance to YPFL, squeezed out by the arrival of Scooter Hahn? dropped to the 2's when the new import debuted

Harping back to the Heberle debate. People (players, spectators, key board warriors and APFL committee members) need to take in to consideration what the Constitution and Rules stipulate, even if Hamley may/may not have. My belief was that it is not the board that suspends or determines if someone has not trained and made themselves, as a player, unavailable for selection. It is actually the coaching panel/selection team. Another thing that also needs to be considered is that the APFL cannot just remove a final as punishment, or they possibly could open themselves up to a civil legal battle. I am not suggesting that Hamley would go down this path by any stretch, but the rumor mill (as nasty as it is) has it that Bushy is not that keen on lawyers sending him correspondence. Also the suggestion that the Steak Sambo Master Chef Newton Lines would resign due to this, Outrageous. Right, Right!
