I hope not but they were his words, if the wrong things happen at the meeting on Wednesday night.
He said, effectively, he could just walk away from it all and watch his grand kids play sport on the weekend like any other grandparent.

Outrageous, right?

Updated the tipping table this week, sorry for the delay.
In the last two weeks, a new outright leader has emerged, with wangas#4 opening up a three-point lead over a stormin norm11 making a charge for the title.
wangas#4 has strung together four perfect rounds in a row, while norm11's form has been amazing if you look at recent results.
The unpredictable round last week also cost UNDERthePACK several spots on the table, while The Big Shrek has snuck up, also tipping four six-point rounds in a row.

Quite a big write up about Hamley and the APFL in the Proddy today. Maybe we should run a comp to see who gets closest to the penalty handed down tonight!

My thoughts. The board made a decision (even though most disagree with the decision, the decision was made) that Herbele wasn't to play this week. Hamley chose to ignore that decision so effictively they played an unregistered player on Saturday, and should be punished accordingly. The debate at tribunal tonight shouldn't be about whether or not Herbele should have been suspended it should be about the fact the board made a decision, and that Hamley Bridge as a club delibarately chose to go against that. Tonights tribunal should have nothing to do with how or why he was suspended.

My decision
- Loss of points from Mallala game (points scored etc.)
- $2,000 fine, $1,000 payable immediately, $1,000 suspended until the end of 2013 season
- Herbele to be suspended for 2 weeks

Seems harsh, but like I said I'm not judging it on how or why he was suspended, but the fact that he was and the club and he delibarately chose to ignore the ruling set in place by the board.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

I can't believe a club would be dumb enough to play a player under suspension and think they could get away with it without penalty.
OK the suspension seems harsh from what I have heard but the Board is there to run the League and administer rules that I would be sure are voted on by the clubs.Even if the rule was introduced by the Board clubs surely could resind the decision at the next delegates meeting and I don't believe this was done so rule stands.
Any problem with the rule change the bloody rule dont be bloody minded and play a suspended player.
Throw the book at them they deserve every penalty coming there way.
I would suspended the player for the rest of the season and fine the club $5,000 with a further $5000 suspended if they breach rule in the future and take the final away from them they have been allocated for this year.

He did. Apparently pushed/punched someone in the face, not sure how severe it was though. Don't think HB will be contesting the two match suspension.
