After a massive weekend in Melbourne, feel like death.

I must be alive though, as people can see me and are talking to me.

just found out today one of the ladies I work with, who is a fantastic woman and like a 3rd Mother to me, has a brain tumour. Thankfully it is not cancerous and will be removed soon.

More of a shock to the system than anything :(

It is a shock every time..
Apart from my own recent brush with cancer - fortunately removable completely and secondary spread free - I have had several other bits of similar news.
I guess it goes with my age...

One mate in his mid-50s has a disease the weakens the arteries in has brain making him prone to haemorrhages - potentially fatal ones - it is not localised so he is a living time bomb.

A friend's sister in law in her 30s has just had a severe leukaemia diagnosed.

And last week a mate, aged 62, rang me to tell me he had just been advised his chest scans showed he had advanced Oesophageal cancer and secondaries through his chest and abdomen.
He has been told he may have 12 months or so with chemotherapy.
