Good game at Mallee Park today. South threw everything at Mallees & were 5 points up at 3qtr time 5 -10 to 5-5
Mallees got there in a tense last qtr by 11 points. Terrific contest all day.
Waybacks beat Rangers 15 goals to 3, & Tasmans beat Boston 21 goals to 3.
Mallees are 2nd, equal on points with Waybacks & have about 2% more

The finals are now set
1st Semi - LS v Way
2nd Semi - Tas v MP
Both games should be crackers. Any early predictions?

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Well, not really. Mallees and Waybacks are level on points and separated by 1.41%. Mallees have to travel to Wangary next week, although Waybacks line up on Tasmans. It's by no means set.

So Waybacks are going to win and Mallee Park are going to lose?

And you're setting yourself up for a fall if you think it can't.

If the finals are as CU suggests, I'd tip Souths to beat Waybacks in the 1st Semi, & a real chance to get to the Grand Final who ever they play in the prelim - on their home patch where they train & play they will be dangerous.
They were good today, had more of the play, & just have to kick straighter for goal.

we won't be throwing any game - However i would prefer to play waybacks in the 2md semi over MP.
IM surprised Souths didn't win today - I rate them higher than Mallee's.
Did choppy play?
We easily accounted for the Tige's ... I feel sorry for Brett , he just doesn't have the cattle.

Wouldn't have thought anyone would ever throw one. I'd just like to see him live up to his word.

Yes Choppy played & was one of Mallees best.
He kicked a booming goal from inside the centre square in the 2nd qtr, & swooped like a cheetah on a guy for a great run down tackle in the 3rd.
He was setting the standard as Port Powers new tackle coach!

elliston 5 point winners over dippers yesterday at poochera oval
great game of country football, tight all day with the dippers having a shot late to steal the win but fell short.
next week - second semi at wudinna
A grade - West Coast Hawks v Central Eyre
B grade - Wudinna v Wirrulla
Colts - West Coast Hawks v Central Eyre

Rumor has it the the TFC have requested that their supporters give Footy SA a miss until after the finals. Seems they don't not want to be distracted in the run home and are obviously aware of how comments on this site can grow legs. Would appear a bit if overkill, but they are obviously desperate for a flag...
