What did they each have this yr OnSong??

Balaklava: 9
Hamley Bridge: 15

Two Wells: 12
United: 12
Virginia: 9

Doesnt seem right to me, basically the points system is telling me Balak, 1st and 2nd (regular season only) in the last 2 years are only 2 country players better than Hamley who have only won 6 games over those 2 yrs??? Must be some country footballers!

I can probably live with the allocation of the bottom 3 placed sides, but i think there is a fair bit of space there for the top 4 to move. Lets not kid ourselves there was 8 games between 4th and 5th this year. I even think the roosters have beem looked after even considering their 3 wins last year.

Given the rating put on footballers coming into the league, that should be reflected in the allocation of points...

The BLG are an ok example, Tanunda have only 3 points, and so they should with their record. Virginia would have won similar amounts of regular season games (and I nelieve that is what it is taken from) over the last 3 years, their inability to win the big dance on the day should not be rewarded with points.

It's taken over the last four years I reckon.

As for the points, you would be surprised what two good players can do to a team.

Two Wells are the perfect example. Four new players into the senior squad, one of them a gun junior (0 points), so with nine points (Pontt, O'Brien, Feast) they effectively turned a three-win season into a flag the following year.

What the points system does is encourage clubs to attract former players, retain recruits and foster junior talent, something Hamley Bridge is addressing on all three levels this year.

Balaklava had nine points this year but by the end of the season, we were playing with five points on the park.

I can't imagine United got close to using its points quota this year.

Those 3 mentioned were 7 points ;) And I believe Hamley had 18 points to work with this season?

How can you say Two Wells have been looked after? Last four years they have finished the minor round in 6th (equal bottom), 5th, 4th and 5th.

Ah, yes, Salisbury West are two pointers.

Hamley applied for extra points to, on top of the 15 allocated.

Thought it was based on 2 yrs MH, so not too bas if it is over a four yr period...
Where can you find what players are worth? (eg BLG 3 pts, Div 1 Ams 3 etc)

Dylan is a B grader
Kane played A's as a run with player last year before needing a shoulder reco, came back in the B's for the last 6 games this year on a wing
Chad played all year on a wing in our A's plus a few games at WWT 18's in his first year out of colts

Silly season officially kicks off with this beauty!

Two Wells going hard for the services of James and Chris Gowans.

This sounds ridiculous because both would be four points each but I'm not sure how much room they have to move on that.

Love it on song! Starting strong with a Gowens rumour but two 35 grumpy pricks won't fit in at Two Wells. There all under 23 and love sucking piss!!

Similar rumours on the BL&G forum about Freeling going very hard for the Gowans, can't imagine they'd be interested in country footy. Speaking of Two Wells under 23s who love sucking piss; J.Allmond back to WWT next year.

Yeh I've been told he posted on Facebook about a week ago that he was heading back but I've also heard its of popular belief that he will struggle to adjust back to the SANFL lifestyle that is required so don't be surprised to see him playing country footy again at some stage next year.
