Didnt realise the sanfl was a hack comp? Or do them flags not count either? He performed well under me there! Also a scolarship with around 50k to the richest school in adelaide! But hey.... Fringe hahaha opinions with 0 substance mean nothing! Talk about what u know gentlemen
[/quote
We are talking about what we know - he didn't perform in this league. Reputation and all the scholarships in the world maen f-all if you've only got promise. Sometimes you've got to prove it. He didn't.
And hey there are a lot of league footballers who shouldn't be there, and they've got medals.

Apparently Angaston coach has been selected but is awaiting the committee's tick of approval.

Be hard for a club to survive with the points system in play if they lose 17 players...

An exodus of players is always the product of the preceeding year when players look to any excuse for biting the hand that fed them.

Unproven coaches find the job at willaston insurmountable, so the donnies have made one of their smartest decisions and signed the best available bloke who has seen this charade many times and will be able to guide them through to a competitive level.

Popular or not Occonnor just needs the offield support and the results tend to follow, 1 door closes another opens so a cleanout of blokes who wont train wont do it any harm.

Peter Argent wrote an article this week saying that Paul Marschall will probably not enter the draft this year and may instead may return to South Gawler to play.
I was led to believe several AFL clubs were looking at him so it would seem a strange move.

Rumour willaston are making a play for Damien Hines from central disticts. Ash Fry to sign and maybe James Moss (Norm said this already). Jimmy Jones and Joel Campbell sign on but Gordon, Taylor (Gepps Cross) and Pepe gone. Occa already setting his side up that will tilt at finals come 2013. seems very similar to what scotty lee did at south, bringing in players whom are clubman and want to play for the cause and not there pay packet, Good on them.

Any word on Tanunda, have they lost players like what has been said on here. I Know its too early but thought id ask?

I agree. Ocker will do a good job.

All these posts about Willaston going belly up are rubbish. Ocker is one of the best at preparing a club/playing group to be successful.

Look at Barossa Districts and their continued success.

Knowing Paul personally and how seriously he takes his footy, I would highly doubt he wouldn't enter the draft. The girlfriend is here but you wouldn't think that'd be an stopping point.
Heard a rumour a few weeks ago that James Moss was being chased by Freeling.

Lots of rumours going around LD, most are untrue or simply made up. At this stage I would think Schmidt & Prior (both 75% going) may move on and the big worry for us is Wells (95% staying) heading up to Darwin to play, he says he will come back but who would know with Billy. As far as players returning you have Legh Westhoff (99% staying) back in and maybe Matt Westhoff (80% returning) but he may have a go down at North Adelaide. Then there is talk of both Underwoods returning in particular Matt (95% returning), while Craig (80% returning) wants to play reserves due to his ongoing injuries, AK? Tanunda won't pay him what he would want (20% returning) and the big one is Scotty Dutschke (50% returning).

Probably not much clarity there but that is the truth on the names that are being thrown around at the moment, silly season though LD as you are well aware at your club.

Matt Herrmann will be announced this week as Angaston's new coach.

I believe also he will be bringing Kym Vivian and Craig Hiskins with him.

Matt does have distant ties to the club with his father and cousin's playing at Angaston.

Good appointment by the club, he's a young guy with plenty of experience coaching young men. It's obviously not a quick fix and hopefully will reap the rewards in 2-3 years time.
If he and the club have the patience and save some biccies in the next 2 years while the young ones get another 40 games under their belt they can have a crack in 2015.

50/50 is my mail, he has struggled a little this season at league level due to his broken leg he suffered last season, so it really comes down to his leg and whether he believes if he can go on at a league level.

Announced this week, sounds as though you have saved them the job and done so yourself.
Appears the panthers have taken a longer term approach. 3 year deal is my mail.

Highly doubt willaston would let him go to freeling or any other club in the BLG. My mail is that we may see his old man and a fellow freeling coach make there way to donnie park and coach the ressies. only what ive heard from Andrew Newton Jarmans Taxi driver mate

What ever happened to Jarrod Spencer who played juniors out your way, reckon he played with billy in under 17's against us, won the medal that year or the barracker award
