Ha ha, go back to your Commodore 64 while I browse the web and download music at the same time. If you don't think multi tasking is a useful and important part of today's society they you truly have no idea my friend (or can only do 1 thing at the same time and don't want to be outdone by a machine). Once again I'll bid you a nice day, as you get a bit too emotional with technology. I hope you're phone/pc/microwave oven enjoys browsing our site whilst it does nothing else.

For us mere plebs that are happy downloading stuff 1 thing at a time, I find the Samsung (Android) quite adequate for what I'm after. People I know who have Iphones only have a problem with the fact that they're "trapped" with Apple and also have problems with Flash not playing on their devices.

Other than that, comparible IMO.
Adobe has already said jobs was right in flash is dead (even though I think it's Apple's close ties with adobe that's made them commit to html5). I think they'll only be giving out security updates but definitely won't be developing it any further.
I think the most important thing when choosing between android and apple is how much security is worth to you. If you don't care or don't have anything important on your phone then android will be fine, but if you can't afford to lose that information then I wouldn't even consider android. You might feel "trapped" but at least you will know your safe.

Flash wasn't kept out of iOS because Jobs thought it was dead, it's because he didn't want people being able to make flash versions of apps, negating sales of their own apps.
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.

so why are adobe now not going any further with flash and concentrating on html5?

Oredred a new phone yesterday. I was tossing up in my head between, Iphone 5, Samsung 3 or HTC One XL. My phone guy, who I've been using for years and trust his opinion completely told me not to touch the Iphone. Said the Samsung and HTC are pretty much like for like, but as I live in the country the HTC has a much better reception than Samsung so I went for the HTC. Hopefully get it in the post today! Can't wait.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

I think you may find it's your provider that has control over your coverage..?
Go Telstra everytime for coverage, my friend.
And you are with...?
Didn't come in todays mail so hopefully comes tomorrow and I can play with it on the weekend and give you something on Monday. I'm with Telstra, not much other choice, but the HTC has a blue tick which means it has a better reception quality in regional areas.

Pretty much a standard reply when a store doesn't have a phone in stock. I've used the Samsung 3 and the iPhone 5 and iPhone beats it hands down IMO.

I've hardly seen a store push the iPhone, mainly because there aren't any incentives. Apple are set in everything. Other brands work off this and offer great incentives to sellers to sell their products.
