Sorry Azza, have not had a look was in the Woodville area this morning so looked at the ground I was playing on but I am not surprised as B grade were todl any more rain after training Thursday and it would be extremely doubtful.

PAOC vs Marion: Not too difficult this one. Prince Alfred has been strong for some time, and like I have said earlier, Marion were lucky last season. Princes at a canter.

Pembroke vs Goodwood: With the loss of Martin being a big one to cover, Goodwood will take time to find their feet, however I expect them to account for Pembroke easily.

Payneham vs Grange: Toughest of the round, and would definitely be an interesting one to watch while digesting a cheese and vegemite roll. Grange in a tight one.

Pultney vs Brighton: Brighton have too much talent across the board. This may be the first outright of the season.

Woodville Rech. vs AHOS: With the money it takes to get Woody Rech on the park each Saturday, it will be an expensive loss. Duffett once again will carry this team on his broad, stocky shoulders. Woodville Rech to win.

So there it is, basically comes down to which team wants more coin in that particular week, big phone bill, better make some runs.

And it looks like there is a man city in a3 also, buying that flag (20k, how farsicle) sure to be supporting whoever is playing hope valley.

Why don't you like A1 Hashtag. Would have htought it is a good standard ot watch.
Unsure what oyu think of Rechabites/AHOS game, predicted Rechabits to both lose and win. Some confirmation would be appreciated.

Matheson Reserve looked waterlogged about 10:20 this morning and I was not holding up much chance of playing on it tomorrow. Hopefully someone did osme work on the pitch after/if it dried out but looked quite unrpomising.

Nothing wrong with Matheson.. wouldn't be afraid of batting 1st tomorrow.

Excellent that is great news. Centre square was waterlogged at 10:20 this morning, glad a bit sunshine has helped clear it up. too much cricket called offi n recent years when play is able to occur, hoping this season will not be similar.

Surely that after a day and a half of sunshine the decision could've been left until the morning of the game.

Yes, my mistake has been brought to my attention, Rechabites to win, and to spend alot of money doing so,

And I dont like A1, not because of the standard, but because the players dont play for the love of the game but for the love of the coin. Undoubtedly the standard is the best in turf cricket, but it feels selfish, peoples' single performaces over the teams.

Well mate having been treasurer of AHOS for the last 6-7 years I can assure you tha AHOS has not paid one player in that entire time. We pride ourselves on not doing thatand having won an A1 premiership without doing so against morecredentialled sides that are alelged to do that. I have been offered money at other clubs but you cant beat our club atmosphere and playing for mates. So I therefore disagree that all A1 clubs do that. And i'm backing us tomorrow.

Will back RW here but AHOS I believe would be the exception. There was nothing better at AHOS than beating those sides that paid out thousands of dollars with a bunch of mates that played for the love of the game, their mates and the club. Love your passion RW - you're a great man.

Funny that many grade clubs do not pay their players a cent.....work that one out....

As expected Pultney get up, but a bit easier than I thought!
Skittled Brighton for 129 and then passed it to finish the day 3/164 with Warner (80) and Ashmead (65) both unbeaten.

Not surprisingly, Marion lost on day 1. Welcome to premier grade, it's going to be a long summer.

Congratulations to the Trinity Old Scholars player Sandery who scored a world record 45320 runs on Saturday, while commiserations to Dussett falling just short of his 50 with 47.

Good to see a new team this season in the LOB, but I must admit I am not sure where Appleston will play their home games this season.

Controversy in the LOA match MSCC vs Hope Valley with players Malik and Zappia swapping teams and proceeding to bowl their old teams out.

or so the paper says...

It was a very good wake up call. Was embarrasing to be apart of yesterday. If we bat and field like we did yesterday then yes it will be a very very long summer. On a positive, it surely couldn't get worse

13 mate. Started feeling good and then hit it straight back to the bowler. Only three of us got into double figures not good.
