How many of his A grade team mates were there to hear the news Jim? I hear there wasn't a good turn out.

Didnt appear to be as big of a crowd as previous years. Probably 3/4 of the squad was there

I've heard the Gowans boys are heading to Freeling next season for a block of land each. Not sure if they're coaching though. Any truth to this??

Which has been a pretty regular comment from them when asked.
However, a rumour went around a couple of weeks ago that they might go to Gaza, which is near where they live.

Was talking to a good old mate of mine while having a regular punt at the Angas Park Hotel on Saturday morning.
My firm mail is Freeling have put $35k on the table for each of them, but they are unlikely to take up the offer.
Also confirmed from my mate who shall remain nameless, is any hope Nuri had for Jay Nash returning home in 2013 is unlikely.

Jim, would this mean Paget is looking unlikely for 2013 aswell? Have also heard Bartsch and a few others may be heading back to Central Districts, South could be set to lose a few.

$70k for the two Gowans, would they really be worth spending that much on? Even for all the experience, mentoring and skill they would provide im not convinced they are worth this...They certainly are a good laugh on the microphone after a few beers though!

Im sure a couple of lads will be having a crack down at Centrals and id think that we are not the only club in the same boat. Most teams have a couple of decent young lads that could/should be having a crack at league next season.
Dont know what Pag's plans are next year, think the comittee will meet all the players over the next few weeks to discuss the list

Is this the Brad Taylor who crossed from Northern Areas club BMW. Won a Mail medal in 2005?
