The 25TH. ANNIVERSARY shows.
It’s time for the fans to gather, and Frank has put together a run of gigs with a very special guest to celebrate.
Dave Blight, the unofficial 6th member of Cold Chisel, is joining Hoy-Hoy! for the November run of gigs. “Beside his love of the blues and Americana, his choice of a tune to play ay the gigs is one of his all time Led Zeppelin favorites ‘When The Levee Breaks.’ Says Frank, “and it’s taken the band a few listens to get it in the zone.”
“Dave is the guy in the white hat playing white hot harmonica on a lot of the Chisel movie tracks”, he adds, “for those of us a little too old to remember”.
“To blues fans we are a bit too rocky and for the rock fans we are a little too bluesy, and because of this we are not real easy to pigeonhole, but then again that was my intention when I formed this outfit 25 years ago, and our fans dig it”. He says.
“I’m just an old Rock and Roller”. But with the great players in this band I’m in heaven.
“On guitar, Mauri Berg, ‘Sets the devils loose’, Mauri was in bands with Bonn Scott, and a young Jimmy Barnes, and his playing for Mickey Finn is legendary”. He continues, “Vanda and Young, Alberts Studios, these names are not unfamiliar to Mauri”.
The Hoy-Hoy! line-up of awesome Trapper on drums, and Frank Lang on bass and vocals, make any one of these a gigs a priority.
