So the Turrells + 1 going to Hummocks...

Good solid players, not exactly going to tear the comp apart though.

That's pretty fuuny Roo. There are guys who couldn't get a B grade game running around every week in the APFL A grade. Good solid players - both are zone and team of the year players, one a BF at a top club - at a league considered at the top level in country football, and not much impact!
I dip my cap to your wisdom.

Have heard Angus Bruggeman heading to United. Was on big coin at Menningie, so Tigers must be offering a bit!

This is where u miss the point Hotspur. You are right there B grade BLG standard players (not ones who miss out on a B Grade game) playing A grade in the APFL, but i doubt HWE will be happy with their paid players running along side those type of players. They will come up against the best players from each club who could easily hold their own in the BLG (if they haven't already) and that is why they wont dominate.

But again, I think they will be very solid players.

Hamley for an example are a bottom club, and next year they will have Greenwood and Taylor who have both performed extremely well in the BLG, I cant see the Turrell boys taking them apart, and Hamley were miles off the better sides this year.

So again they will perform well, be really solid players, but as for tearing the comp apart, not so sure.

Itake your point Roo, but Taylor had no impact in the BLG - a wasted year for him - and Greenwood is at best a forward pocket player now - that's where he played in the Riverland this year.
Not saying these guys will tear the comp apart but will make significant impact because they're not mercenaries like the two you mentioned. They'll be around a while.
And no I'm way too old to be the other player but he might be related to the other two.

who is the other player related to the Turrels then???

The taller of the two turrels hasnt played a good game since 2005/6.

did the older one play much footy this year - didnt see him in the best plasyers much - didnt get a kick the day they played us.

i think HWE will struggle if theyre wasting their points on these two.

Maybe BigV or Pimpdaddy can confirm but following the election of the new club board, two sponsors , BTR and Izuzu have pulled their sponsorship, apparently worth $40,000.
That would leave a significant dent in any club coffers.
Would be vital to replace it to retain recruits like James, Russell, Wilkey, Mark etc.
Wheat sheaf hotel still staying on board, so that's one major sponsor hanging around.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Only time will tell, but opinions from as far away as you seem - did you finish above 3rd? - aren't worth much. Obviously HWE don't agree with you - that's the important thing.

I thought the "Parndana Pie Eater" was committed to staying on at the Meningie Bears in 2013.
