I see div 4's Jason Akermanis was best on ground on Saturday.

Well done!

Well Demps, all i can say after the weekend is that the best player in D4 isnt Watts, Woodrow, McIntee or Hood (definately not the latter, although he may just have had a bad day). There is one guy running around for Haven who is streets ahead of these 4 blokes. For obvious reasons Haven dont want to name him in the paper, but opposition sides will surely have this guy marked every week. Cut Portland to shreds with his hard running and clean skills. Any guesses who this bloke might be ?

watched Portland on Sat. Could've won it but threw it away. Fair effort by haven to come back from 5 goals down at 1/4 time

You could be right WW :D

Ouzo, not sure if throwing it away is a fair description of Portland's effort. Haven were never going to lie down, they were always going to come back after a poor first half, both football and discipline-wise. In the end, Portland were trying to plug holes in a sinking ship after losing 2 key defenders, and probably their best midfielder, to injury in the 2nd half. Things are not going well when you have to move your full forward and CHF to full back and CHB. It was a cracker of a game though, im sure there were some sore boys from both sides yesterday morning.

felch and all can definately vouch for most of those concerned, sunday bloody sunday was painful as sitting through a gwenyth paltrow movie mate, havens will always try and intimadate sides with their "toughness" young blokes in the thunder gurnsey did not give an inch which all who watched the game will have seen and surely will be impressed. as for watts, hoody and robbertson il steal a line from flava flav "dont believe the hype". that being said portland was out gunned in the second half, missing key opportunities in front of goal really hurt, really could have killed the game off, but as earlier mentioned injuries to key players really hurt, take nothing away from north haven though good win for the boys, particularly one poster who as felch mentioned was all but unstoppable around the ground
