Who would have been involved in the walkout Ramsgate? We talk of local players, who is considered the locals?

Without throwing names out it was there younger brigade between ages of 18-22 who were in and out of A Grade the last few years. All boys who have come up through junior footy at Rams

What was phillips doing for this situation to occur? Couldn't some players handle the truth?

All they said was they'd had enough. Maybe he was too disciplined and strict on them I don't know but it's gonna be very interesting to see which direction they go from here. If it is true that they have lost Niklaus (and I won't take it as truth until I see there side round 1). Then I think they are gonna drop off considerably as there were multiple games last year that they won off his back alone.

To quote what a current Rams player said before the 2012 Season, "he is the worst coach I have ever had".

I can assure everyone that it wasn't just the players between the ages of 18 - 22 even long term players were considering a move. Came down to the fact that in the time frame that the coaching staff had been appointed, there were no results no prizes for second. If it wasnt for a talented list there would of been no finals series for the Rams. in the time he was there he has done good things for the club, credit to him but time dor change.Denno tried to bring it back full credit to him tried his hardest very passionate. Joss has some really good ideas if the people on this forum think joss wont be good for the Rams, look out for 2013 with the full support of all players and hopefully the board the Rams won't be sliding down the ladder.

For the sake of your club you'd want to hope he conducts himself differently then what he did in the led up to the grand final. What are Virginia going to do now that apparently btr have pulled their sponsorship? Not much money anymore

He helped the team to 3 consecutive GF and a prelim     Whether the coach or just pure talent got you to these finals, on the day its up to the players, especially senior players, to perform and find something special, and clearly they failed to do so, especially in 2010 when the rams were red hot favourites. Find it funny that the coach gets all the blame for this. The coach, club and supporters around the club can do everything to give their players the best opportunity to win a flag, but they cant kick goals on GF day!

I used to enjoy getting to his huddle's and hearing how he delivered his message without profanities or yelling, it seemed to work, I guess there's more than meets the eye though.

Fair enough, I was just commenting on why players would be leaving, there must've been more internal than external issues. Anyway, play on, what's done is done.

Agreed SD. Last year was a perfect example. Went to the Two Wells huddle at 3 quarter time and u could just see and feel how much everyone of those boys wanted to win that match where as ya just felt there were a few too many rams who had there mind elsewhere which is disappointing. I'm sure it was a similar case the years previous as well.
