Predictions this week

Aldinga V Elliot:- Thinking Elliot after a good chase against the Rapids will be brimming with confidence and should get over Aldinga, Garrards will have to make runs for them to be a chance, lets hope the win doesnt go to a few of the elliot boys heads though as rapids have a fairly lacklustre attack and will be facing somewhat the same this week. Tip:- Elliot.

Encounter Bay V Goolwa:- This could be an outright game for the Bays, Goolwa will have to dig deep and show some resiliance againt a fired up bays side after beating mclaren.Tip:- Bays Easy

Willunga V Mclaren Districts:- This is the game of the round, Mclaren without Ifould first week will be keen to show they are not a one man team, willunga are in good form and this should be a cracker. Losing againt the bays should fire mclaren to victory here proving they are a top four side. Tip:- Mclaren Just.

Compass V Rapids:- Rapid bay will be humiliated for declaring early against an elliot team in which chased down the runs. They will be competitive and im tipping an upset here against a compass team relying heavily on Num with the bat and ball. Tip:- Rapid Bay

Good luck lads!!!!

Or even themselves. Will they rue that decision to declare early on day 1 against Pt Elliot at the end of the year??

Not enough depth there Offcutter.......

Think Elliot and maybe possibly aldinga can challenge compass for the last finals spot. Would be fair to say Enc Bay, McLaren and Willunga will be there come the business end of season.

Definately haveing a good season so far the bays......

Not sure on the decision to bat all day on saturday though, thought maybe a declaration 10 overs before stumps would have been the right choice for the outright, will only have themselves to blame if they cant get the 20 wickets this week

Mclaren v Willunga should have an exciting finish this week as well, mclaren is a good spot after a batting brain fade against the bays, should get the points.

Elliot should be too good for Aldinga, have made 200+ two weeks ina row, but against some lowly sides, but need to do this regularly to have a chance at making the 4

Compass in trouble and rapids maybe up for their first win.

WIW, can you shed any light on this young sensation Altus that is making a few.

The departure of the evergreen Petrucci has seen him fill the void quite well I would have thought. Seems to be a pretty reserved guy as well. Being the son of the great Russ, you'd expect him to have a pretty level head?

Predictions round 6

McLaren V Rapid Bay
Danger game for mclaren with rapid bay coming off surprise win against compass. Mclaren have alot of depth in batting and bowling, with all the big guns firing. Mclaren should get up easily.

Compass V Aldinga
Will be a cracker, aldinga are in a good spot and are surprising a lot of teams, however really lack depth if the garrard brothers dont fire, compass though are struggling and i think dingy could get up in an upset.

Elliot V Encounter Bay
What can we say about elliot, they have been doing the opposite of things recently making over 200 runs which is a good sign but struggling with the ball. They will recieve no respite here against an in form bays team, with Lintern and Hoffman Guns, will smash elliot. Elliot will need to prove they can make runs against the better sides.

Goolwa V Willunga
Goolwa is a rabble at present, Willunga a big chance for Outright points and to join the top echelon of teams again after being smashed by McLaren last week, they will get it and prove they are still contenders. Injury to Minnot a BIG Concern. Willunga Easily

Good Luck Lads!!

Notice the T20 fixture is up... only 6 teams is a bit disappointing. What's the reason for McLaren not playing WIW24, Offcutter? Those blue shirts are going to waste...

Play the games on a Sunday. Cricket is one of natures best hangover cures. IMO a game of T20 cricket in dwindling light is the last thing people want to do after a days work - which results in the minor round games on Wednesday nights being a ####ing shambles . However, the finals seem to be enjoyable, competitive and well attended.

Bit hit and miss with your predictions WIW..

Compass posting 300+ will be a big ask for Aldinga next week, and I see Goolwa are giving a good account of themselves against Willunga. Big opportunity for the Goolwa bowlers to get a few quick wickets next week and snatch the victory.

Anyone hear any U21's scores from yesterday?

Goolwa are putting up a great show, need the wicket of elliot and they are in with a big shot.

mclaren v rapids is a great game, rapids bowling tight and having mclaren is trouble early, mclaren getting to 197 on a slow oval should hold on, but bennett the danger

elliot in dire straits against encounter bay, seem to be fading out already wouldnt be surprised if they end up in the bottom few from here on in.

Compass are all over aldinga, seem to have some NAME players back in EAST and hicksy making good scores.

Hi fans how is everyone!?! Wheres old mate Bloods...? Is it true he's been suspended from his club for the minute?? Mum wont be happy..!!! You guys know!!!

Yes Black Duck T/20 would be better suited and proberly easier to organize if on a Sunday rather than Wednesday night, I feel. Could also maybe have both minor rounds on the one Sunday too really make it worth while???? Why no team from Mc Larens this year??? T/20 good for the young fellas!!!

W.I.W mate please.. maybe write down what you want too say, think about it for a couple hours edit some of your work cause your stuggling!!!!! Hicks has played all year, and yes Compass have had a bad patch but its a long season. Young guy's are slowly coming along, unfortunatley at the same maturity rate as their Catpain ;) ...penny starting to drop as its their team to take over!!!

R.C.Q. ... Sir Richard :P I think the league needs say have 2-4 older players but should just have all younger players in the side/squad Altus, Chambers Moules etc etc and of course the guys having good seasons Hoffman, Bennett etc.. but basically say F#$k it and produce a squad to play 5-6 years together...worked about 15 years ago........2002 team waz together for quite a few seasons finally getting the result!!!!

Ok living in the past bye!!!

Welcome back TONY

as suggested in CAPPS, East is the player I am referring too in regards to coming back, I am aware of hicks and he has been playing this year, Im still uncertain about the depth at compass at the moment..Long season but great comeback from a upset loss last week.

interesting season so far though makes for some good cricket!!!!!!

Bloods suspended??? surely not :9
