Re: Champions League 2011/12
Sometimes it doesnt pay to top the group.
One of the big clubs will bow out while a scrubber like Malaga or Porto will go through.
Oh well Madrid here we come

Former 2 time winner Porto yeah those scrubbers
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Decent sides win more than 2
Nottingham Forest have won it twice and they are still scrubbers

all may be but I feel that there draw is actually fairly even and has some interesting match ups...
(i hope jose relieves his run down the old trafford touch line...when he was at that scrubber team as they knocked out man utd to go win the title that season)

Re: Champions League 2011/12
Yes the old 91st minute equaliser to knock us out that year.
In all fairness we were a rabble that season as evidenced by our pathetic season in the league.
The Portuguese league was far stronger in the late 90's early 2000's than it is now. Nowadays its basically a feeder comp for the big leagues. Id be surprised if Porto would be able to finish Top 10 in the EPL now.
Plus they had the Special One so anything was possible, his management got them over the line that season
