This morning the Families minister has said "She could live on the dole". Ok, remove all her payments, and make her go on the dole for a month, then come back with another view?

Both said the same thing, "My rent is $50 a day!"
Subsidised housing is, I gather, as rare as rocking horse manure in WA.

$350 a week? Many cheaper alternatives than that in as Adelaide.

This is in Bunbury WA and nearby areas - rents seem to be high - as are prices. The 3 bedroom unit in the Bunbury CBD near the beach, which the WA SW area health service is renting to supply to me free, has just been sold to a new investor for around $600K.The Sleeping Giant wrote:$350 a week? No. These two examples are women who have lived in this area most of there lives and have been through divorce from guys who have then disappeared, and who have 2 or 3 children from 16 down. Both already have part-time jobs to help pay the rent and have been on waiting lists for subsidised housing for years. The Sleeping Giant wrote:Got it. More of a lifestyle choice then.

There may be - I haven't actually searched, but that price seems about average looking in the odd agent's window as I go past. The Sleeping Giant wrote:But there are cheaper alternatives in bunbury.
