Mr. Greenwood seemed fine to me last night, any alleged medial tear didn't seem to stop him finding the footy.

Yeah mate got a good doctor . Recovered very quickly

No Cyril's. do you think Hamley will be able to control Taylor, Thach and Haseldine at a club function if they all decide to let loose?

I highly doubt it mate . Seen all three in action and are all pretty loose. Taylor I hear does his best performance Fridays before games . He says it's part of his routine so y change

United appear to be recruiting well. It seems the gap between the top and bottom sides is sure to close up a bit more this year, which is great for the comp.

Agree SD the comp looks really close at this early stage. Very hard to predict an end of minor round ladder but ill give it ago;
Two Wells - safe to pick reigning premiers but will def miss J. Allmond
Mallala -Adding King, Bruggerman & Parish keeps them up top. King is an absolute star but paid accordingly!
Hamley - Surely with the $$ spent, top 4 beckons
Virginia -Lost a few but any team with Nikolous at FF will play finals
United -Reports are they increased there player budget but would've needed to! Faulkner will be fierce. Dont know much bout Etterich bros, if anygood then they will sneek into 4.
Eagles- another to increase budget, Ciccy will be a star no question, but like United, will depend on quality of recruits & depth of club. Again dont know much of Turrells but will see?
Balak -Only picking them as last cos of rumours of many players leaving, however with the quality of locals, they could easily push up higher?

Pretty vague but it is March. Certainly wouldn't back that prediction with cash!!!
Anyone else?

I heard from a Mallala bloke that Longies are trying to get him as a local after only playing one season of U/17's for them.

I think it will be a decidedly closer season than last year, with a pretty tight battle for the third and fourth spots.
Mallala and Two Wells emerge as favourites for top two IMO. Whitwell back will be huge for them this year too. Like another recruit.
Virginia probably stands out as a third place proposition, with the rest likely to battle it out for fourth.
Everyone capable of top 4 finish though.

A registered player of a Club of an Affiliated League who has played a total of 25 or more games in the Senior (A grade) Team or Reserves (B grade) Team or Junior Football with that Club, who has transferred to a Club of another League within Australia and returns to his original Club will have a Player Points Rating of zero (0).

That's what MH means by them trying to get him as a local. Couldn't imagine he's played the required 25 in the one year though.

You can rest at ease fellas. If Faulkner plays with us he has played more than 25 games so fits perfectly in the 0 point category. :D I know that I've played 2 seasons of 17's with him plus he obviously played Junior colts before that. He has also played a little bit of senior footy for us.
Next thing people will be questioning whether or not Ciccy has played the 25 games!

Early crack at the ladder

United - Cause I'm biased and I'm allowed to be
Mallala - Definately the team to beat. Same side as last year plus 4 guns (incl. whitty) plus whatever else lobs up from the west
Two Wells - Only lost Almond plus a couple of fringes. Definate finals
Virginia - Lost Wilks, but got Caleb buck plus Robertson plus a couple of fringe players. As woofa said before will play finals cause the have big Nik.
Hummocks - Definate improvers. Finished 1 game behind Hamley, but I think Hummocks' ins are better than the bombers.
Balaklava - Bottom 6 behind Mallala is gonna be tight, just can't squeeze balak in. No Brice hurts. Wouldn't be counting Dawson as an out yet.
Hamley - Improved list no doubt, just can't see them catching up to Balak, and I think us and Hummocks have improved more on paper. Time will tell.

Can genuinely make a case for everyside to make finals or potentially win the whole thing which makes this season an exciting year to be a part of and an awesome year to host the Grandy! 8)
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

As a junior played friday night with Centrals under age, Saturday with long plains and sunday with Elizabeth eagles. As for King being a star. He's a star tagger.
