Re: Adelaide Turf Cricket Association 2012 - 2013
Taking a closer look at the "A-grade" side they have selected, it's not as bad as you would think.
9 of the 11 have played A1 before.
The other 2 guys, 1 took 4 for 30 odd last week and the other hit a ton earlier this year, both in A4.
Any A-grade that includes Sam Tyler and Ben Hook can't be all that bad.
If their A-grade is guaranteed finals, and their B-grade must win to get in, I can see why they could be tempted so slide a bit of help down to the B's, and in the process give their fringe A-graders an opportunity to experience A1 cricket.
It's not as bad as the clubs who enter their A-grade down in the B3 comp then carry on like idiots when they win a cheap flag.
Anyway, I'm sure they're not the only club to do it this week, at least they aren't trying to hide it! haha.

Goodwood also need to win in A1 and hope Pulteney pull off an upset and they make finals also. So they won't be dropping anyone down to help the 2's get over the line.

And there is every chance Ashmead goes out and hits a big one to make it happen!
Woody Rec must be hating this, effectivly PAOC have made it easier for them to miss finals!

I do hope that's not a dig at us, considering the only player we added to a side that lost the C2 GF last year played B3 the whole of last season, hardly playing super low considering, we also were put there, after applying to go much higher
Think most of the world thinks its poor form dropping 7 guys from last weeks A1 side to a lower side

Not at all.
To be honest I didn't even realise you had your A's in B3. I assumed you'd be much higher given you were in A3 2 years ago.

Unley all out 108
Pooraka 5 for around 115-120
Pooraka 5 for around 115-120
The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

Any reason why a bloke who took six in the As last round gets dropped to the Bs to take seven and clean up Concordia for 49?

Simple as if he played A Grade he couldn't play finals for the B grade
Decision was his as he was also equal in A Grade club bowling trophy

Although Nelson won't need one looks like quite a few permits sought In B3 finals, how lenient is the association towards these , not much experience with them

Drew was named in the B's on their website but then listed in the paper hitting 80-odd in the A's, so my guess would be they were just having a bit of fun with the teams they named. Who knows. Will be interesting to see once the results are loaded into mycricket.

My understanding is the turf are keen to take a black and white view on permits this year.
If you qualify, you're in, if you don't, you'd need a damn good reason as to why you should be given one.
Got any examples of players you think will need a permit?

Cause no one likes Concordia and everyone's happy to see them lose?
