I did hear he was trying to secure work back in Adelaide but is having trouble. Haven't seen him at training much due to his 2 on 2 off

Who care's if he has told people. He doesn't "owe" anything to TWFC. probably just following his mate/s who work in the mines?

Just pointing out it is not often a clearance is denied three times.

Usually these issues are sorted after a second denial but they're going to need to have a fourth crack at it.

And then the SANFL needs to support the contract between the player and club .... don't know of any cases when they haven't.

The SANFL requires conformance from Clubs to use their contract, SANFL needs to support the club with their contract, if they are not I would suggest it needs to be escalated further - but where is that?

well from what i understand, my club did not have a leg to stand on when 2 blokes signed a contract with us and then decided to head to this league.
so i'm not sure what the exact rule is.....

BOP, I guess the problem your(or any club in the same situation) club has is do you want the contract enforced, meaning that the club has to hold up their end? Do you want two club hoppers on the paybooks? If I was making the decision I'd let them go after getting any sign on fee, singlets, socks shorts etc back.

I'm sure the SANFL/CFL had the standard player contract drafted by one of Shreks mates (loose term), holding a player to it wouldn't be a problem, generally these sorts of things need to be enforced or there is no point having them as it creates uncertainty for clubs when they are meant to achieve the opposite, I'm not sure on the circumstances here though.

Anyway, trails aren't far off, cool change would be nice...

I agree. And I wouldn't want them there either. I guess I'm just pointing out that we have a system that helps create these situations and makes them a lot more common than they normally would be.
If these contracts were enforced by the leagues, you would have a lot less blokes trying to do this.
