A 3 way trade,Nats get starting prospect AJ Cole,Blake Treinen and another player to be named from Oakland.

Also with both the AL and NL now with 15 teams each,we'll have inter-league play on opening day with Cincy hosting the Angels.

cheers mate. Bit disapointing to lose him for not much in return...

Houston moved to the American League didn't they????

Not sure if the Nats even need to bolster their rotation,as I'm pressed to think of a NL side with better starters. Will be interesting to see if Gio will be as affective as last season.

Houston have moved to the AL west and apparently Texas,Seattle,LA Angels and Oakland are over the moon with playing 15-18 games against them.Maybe 3 teams from that div will get to the play offs by virtue of continually beating the Astros.

that looks pretty good. Especially the NL East ;) .
I'd also love to see the cubs do well... no chance of really happening, but i feel a bit sorry for them..

Read in the paper the other day MLB is making their decision this week if they are going to open the season next year in Sydney at the SCG.
If it goes ahead more than likely it will be the LA Dodgers vs Arizona Diamondbacks. Not the bums, was hoping it was the SF Giants.

Well those two will sure bring a crowd!
Too bad RedSox and Yankees will be busy that weekend

They will still get a good crowd i reckon, never going to bring an east coast team.

Wouldn't mind seeing Kansas City doing well.I reckon they will be better this year but still miss out.

If you go by spring training results they'd be favourites for the world series.

Dodgers have a big following so I reckon they'd pull a decent crowd.

If it was Rockies and D Backs it might be a worry.

I'd make an effort to go,but definately won't be supporting the Dodgers.
Not a big fan of Arizona either, but have a bit of time for Kirk Gibson though.

Not confident Rangers will make the post season this year.

Need huge production from Andrus, Cruz and Kinsler and hopefully Profar can really come on.

Darvish really needs to be an ace on the mound.

Didn't select the Rangers with much confidence tbh,but having 15-18 games against the Astros should sneak them in I reckon.

Season starts this weekend and some mega contracts are being done.
Buster Posey of the Giants just agreed to a nine-year, $167M deal.
As a Giants fan very happy as he is a genuine superstar.
Justine Verlander of the tigers just agreed to a $180M deal until 2019

Giants are playing the bums to open the season, hope we sweep them.
Should be an exciting season with 2-3 teams in each division a chance to win.
