Suggesting tanking in the BL&G is without a doubt the dumbest post in the history of this website.
As a player, I play to win, if the coach and president asked us to lose I would still try and win.
It's country footy..... most guys play for the love of the game and nothing else, and would refuse to tank.
I just took a reading of your post with my Minda-comment-o-meter and it registered a perfect 100.
Congratulations.

Haha... So if it came down late in the season between a battle of two lower ranked teams that couldnt play finals and the winning team misses out on three player points for the following year you would say both teams would give their all to win the game but miss out on three player points or more for possibly the next two years?
Country Footy is becoming a business these days.

This is what kills me about Footy these days,
We are not playing in the AFL, and 3 points to a bottom side is unlikely to mean bottom to top the next season.
If you had a clue Sledge you would look around and see a 'Country' football league, no grandstands, no bright lights.
I will always play to win. Having had 3 years in 10 at Ango where we have struggled and lost a lot of games,
I NEVER want to lose, it feels shit and I hate it.
People like yourself ruin things with your 'making an issue out of thin air' approach.
Maybe concentrating on the Netball side of things might be more your speed,
always a lot of bitching around there and you will fit in a treat.
Or perhaps next you could break open the pressing issue of clubs playing robots in their side???

Could you name these robots, please?
You just can't go round alleging that clubs are playing robots.
Your comment has tainted all clubs!
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

I have to agree with SG on this one - no country footballer goes out and deliberately loses a game for the promise of "points" next season. The only way you could really tank is not playing your best 21 but even by the AFL standards this is apparently not tanking (Melbourne football club) and no player would want to miss a game of footy. I guess another form of "tanking" is not using all of your designated points in a season and knowing your team wont reach finals and finish towards the bottom but no player/team tanks.
Country footy is certainly business these days but there is no way a coach or club would tell their players not to win - nor would their players not try to win.

Both have put a clearance to Tailem in the RMFL. Was wondering how they went as Tailem have lost some quality players.

They wont use any of your water to bother for a shower, and will always have the car window down to accept their money, as they get their money while driving through the gate. Clinton can play, but is allergic to training, wrote the book on excuses, and Moon is probably getting paid 4 x more than he is worth.
But apart from that, they are great ! Is Motlop still coaching there ?

Young Joshy Wittwer has put in a clearance to Gepps Cross from Angaston. Changed his mind after not even pulling on the boots.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Spot on. Clinton can seriously play the game when he feels like it.

The only problem is he doesn't 'feel like it' often enough. I'd be careful if I was Tailem Bend, just to make sure I was getting my money's worth.

Any teams had a trial game yet?
What where the results.
I see on the SAAFL Div 2 forum Willaston beat Kilburn and that is a bit of a surprise given the Donnybrooks losses this year.
I am sure Kilburn will claim they had players out and that is the reason they lost but again it shows that BLG teams could compete in SAAFL Div 2 and 2 or 3 be very competitive in SAAFL Div 1.
Maybe O'Connor can get the best out of the team and give them some discipline and structure.
Still not many clearances through are some teams holding onto them for some reason?
