Would have been more money at longies. No brothers at longies at the time. The brothers like to travel in packs. Longies just missed out on a 5 foot midget thats blind in one eye.

I remember him playing his junior footy with Moonta, the kid was one of the smallest with Dean Dudley but there was no doubt both of them were destined to be stars (In country/amateur comps at least).

Well just for interests sake i took a stab at tipping the whole season, based only on the info at hand ie; last season and clearances, here it is:

TW 14-2
Mal 12-4
Vir 11-5
HWE 6-10
Bal 5-11
HB 5-11
United 1-15

With only a couple of wins between first and third i cant see why these three could be in any order (box trifecta for the top) and one win between forth and sixth any one of these clubs couldmake up the final spot in the four, unfortunately for united i cant see them having too many wins as long as other clubs take the games with them professionally.

There aren't too many clearances up on the website leaving two wells but if both Allmonds, Slattery (2nd ruck??), Khan (on and off) and Feast (heard a few times around the traps?) end up leaving as suggested they might struggle to fend off Mallala. HB the New flag favourites with 50 new players, I see T Haseldine clearance also lodged Saturday.

Meanwhile, pat on the back to who ever updates the clearance page (may well be automatic now?), much better this year, it was a week or more between updates previous years =D>

haha well i had united to beat hamley at least once for the season, but maybe if you can steal a win from the other three sides in the bottom half then that gives you four and if results are as i am predicting other wise united could jump to fifth, but i cant see too much higher.
based on last season the only real big mover will be balak- if all the outs are true- 7 of their wins will be spread between the other clubs.
as mentioned before two wells could be a bit off but i still see them in the top three.
everyone predicts a close season but i think this will only be in the margin of each game not the result- gone are the days of the 20 goal floggings-

This season will tighten up alot, sides will be alot more competitive and close, imports will play a part if every side has who they have rumored to have. But come round one the truth will be when each player crosses the white line.
I wouldn't put Dawson out of balaklava just yet, and I hear Lachy Michael couldn't cope with training in town and is back aswell.

Also hear Nicolas is in the slammer for his speeding, big big loss for Virginia if any truth is to it.

Wow. I've never not made the finals before. There's a first for everything. Could be a long season if all I can hope for is a lucky 5th.

well i did just tip the whole season then counted up the wins and losses, you try, put your bias on it and then see what the results are? by all reports united werent much chop last year and i cant see two bigs and a very handy ex- AFL player taking them from last to be really competive with the top three. i do genuinely think this will be close to final ladder but if you add 2-3 wins to the lower sides and take them from the top few, who knows? not sure still very early days, 3-4 substantial injuries to the wrong players could see the top sides under perform and an injury free run to the bottom sides could possibly flip the ladder. just thought i would have a crack at it.

Two wells were a promising young side, under achieving for years the experience of the elder ex sanfl player helped that team dramatically.
If these two blokes are great players it will help but united doesn't have the depth that two wells did, two different sides at two different stages, don't think you can really compare.
