Once again, there is no excuse for sprinklers to water on a friday or saturday! Whether its council operated or by the club it doesnt matter. if the wicket isnt fit for play then the away side win...the end..hopefully?

So a club informs the council that there is a game, council says no worries we'll turn the water off... council forget, power blackout and the controller resests or something and the pitch gets wet. How is that a club's fault?

Cheers Chrissymac. Can't wait.
Jim should practice his piff short balls over the winter.

Not sure he will need to practice OKC they looked like they were on the money saturday, just ask MR
I don't think you blokes have much to worry about to be honest, deserve to win it that's for sure.
Oz Jimmy will play again at the farmers, and in my eyes i reckon Carey from Para Hills will win the A2 player of the year.

If you say that, then how is the world can it be the opposing clubs fault?
No one has to be at fault, but someone must be held accountable, and it's the home team. If I had a council that looked after my oval, I would be making many phone calls during the week. You get the advantage of playing home, you need to make sure that you have the pitch in playing condition. Ask Port Districts, they should have been promoted last year by the letter of the law.

Would go very close, standout bowler this year for sure. Would look good in a bulls uniform in A1.

I am saying that if you can't blame the home team, you certainly can't blame the opposition team .

Ill go with one horse race, seeing as Duffet made 200 odd in his last game.

The one in a million times it would be a genuine accident would be outweighed by the amount of times its not an accident.
There can only be two rulings imho..
1/ If the league has home finals than it HAS to be the homes teams responsibilty to get the pitch up for the match, this may mean teams have to really and work and build strong relationships with their councils etc etc so be it.
2/ Neutral venues and if the pitch doesnt get up than the higher placed team progesses and the host club have to answer to the league as to why the pitch didnt get up.

Wes Thomas is my pick.
Duffet's highest score other than that 201* was only 57.

If its that dodgey, turn it off at the control valve? Our council never water on weekends anyway for vandalism reasons, so i dont know why the council would turn on water on a friday or saturday.

Yeah they needed 284. A score Fulham have only gone past once this season!

All depends on which council it is tp... Charles sturt council really show little to no interest in helping and making things easier for their sporting clubs.
Things like giving access to any irrigation controls are strictly forbidden, even though the people asking for access are better qualified than those working for them. Even the water meters are locked so they can't be wound down

Actually watering on a Saturday night is something Charles Sturt would do
